Noob reconstitution question

Why the bigger needles for recon? Just to speed up the process ? Could i not use the 30g 5/16 need i plan on pinning with to recon a rt10 vial with 1ml of bac water ? Sorry if thats a no brainer im new and trying to learn

Bigger needles typically hold more ML of bac water. If you use the 30g to pin with but whether it's 30, 50, or 100 units doesn't matter because all are too small to hold enough bac to reconstitute most peps. Unless you plan on never using more than 1 ml of bac.

If you ever need more than 1 ml, you will have to use multiple needles which will burn through your stash, so it is cheaper to just get specific needles for reconstitution.

So in theory i could recon reta 30 and use 3 of my pin needles for 1ml each or jus 1 of the bigger needles that holds 3mls . So its just about saving on those 3 needles and only using 1

I also use a 3ml syringe with 25g 5/8" and 25g 1.5" needles.

A 30g is better for pinning than for recon. They're wobbly because they're so thin. 25g is less wobbly. I've bent fewer 25g than 30/31g when reconning.

And time. The 30's are also a little harder to draw from. I just reconed 2-24mg Reta's Thursday night using the 23G 3ml. Piece of cake.
