Hi y'all. I hope everyone is having a great evening. How I got here: I participate in r/neuropathy over on Reddit. Someone said their experience using peptides for diabetic foot pain was life changing. That got my attention. Gabapetin isn't helping me at all and my TENS unit has minimal effect. As I sit here writing this, my feet feel like someone is putting out burning cigarettes on my toes. My problem was that I had no idea what they were talking about. BPC-157? TB-500? I discovered I had a lot to learn.
I kicked off my research by joining r/PeptideGuide. That lead me to r/Retatrutide where someone mentioned this forum. As it happens, I have been taking Tirzepatide for a while now - having no clue it was simply a peptide. I have gone from 300 lbs and an A1C of over 11 to 260 and 6.1 so it definitely works for me. I managed to get coverage for it because a major surgery blew thru my deductible and it's been free for 2025. Come January, I will have to pay and pay and pay. Major motivator! Now I will get to tell big pharma to f- off because I can become a peptide researcher!
This "reta" sounds very interesting indeed! I am excited to think I can be in control and find out what works best for me. It is also exciting to think, once I learn about BPC-157, TB-500, and who knows what else, that I may be able to put out the neuropathy burn. Thank you in advance to everyone who is patient with this newbie. At 64, I rarely get to be a newbie anymore. I promise to do my research and do my best to not ask questions that I have already been asked. I know how f-ing irritating that is. Yes, I do know how to Google!
