Hello! I’m a new member here as I’ve started down the rabbit hole. A year ago I would have dismissed all of this off-hand. Now I’m a full on convert. I’m sharing the full story here so I get it on paper once. Maybe it’ll help someone else.

So the journey started with learning I have had a-fib most of my life a few years back. I went through treatment but the meds led to a slow and steady weight gain. Over 5 years I stacked on almost 40 pounds and hit 240 in May. This was despite eating most meals vegetarian and working out 3 or 4 days per week. Oh and along the way I also developed mid-grade sleep apnea. Fun times!

My cardiologist suggested Semi might be ideal for me. I spoke with my GP and they wrote up a prescription for Tirz which the insurance company quickly rejected. I didn’t know much at the time so I accepted the rejection. I turned to an online telehealth/compounding combo to give Semi a shot as, at the time, I didn’t understand the difference so I went with what was easiest/cheapest. I immediately saw the difference and impact. I was exhausted but dropping weight for the first time in a long time.

I started researching and realized I gave up too quickly. I went back and pushed the doctor to push back. That second time they approved Tirz and I shifted over. Over 3 months I dropped around 25 pounds but I was dropping muscle as well. I also was notified by insurance I had to shift back as Tirz was no longer approved.

My doctor wouldn’t help any further and I found my stalled on Semi. They put me back at the starting dose and the tiredness/muscle loss almost made me quit.

I started researching what to do. Two things happened. I went through an online appeal service and got rejected again. I filed the magic second appeal and was quickly approved via arbitration in a matter of weeks. I was back on Tirz at the right dose. Second I started down the rabbit hole of alternative support and learned about NAD+ and Semorelin. After several nights research I went back to the telehealth/compounding and added both to my regimine.

Within two weeks I found a huge turn around in energy and motivation. Over the next three months I dropped another substantial amount of weight….without losing muscle mass. I was working out daily and tracking myself daily with a body composition scale. Muscle mass was returning and fat mass was dropping. At the end of 5 months I was down 45 pounds sitting at 19% fat and up to 26% muscle mass.

So now the rabbit hole. Years ago I took some hard hits to the left knee. A few years ago I tore my meniscus which never recovered and resulted in an menisectomy. That led to osteoarthritis and the knees were now the new problem. Walking up stairs gave me a nice crackle with each step. I spoke with two ortho docs and both went down the path of steriod injections untill they stop working and then knee replacement. When I asked about alternatives I got no where.

Back to the research and that led me to BPC157/TB500 and decided it was worth a shot (pun not intentional). After two weeks of injection my pain in the left knee is way down. I have picked up 15% range of motion in that knee compared to the other knee I wasn’t injecting.

So now I’m recommitting and spending more nights researching. I’m working on the right routine to try for BPC/TBR combined with collagen, HA, and possibly GHK-Cu. From what I’ve read and played twenty questions with various AIs the combination may have a chance of halting the osteo progression and possible even reversing it slightly.

I realized quickly the combination via telehealth/compounding would cost an astronomical amount. Fine for a quick test but iffy over 12-18 months. That led me to grey and that led me to here. I’m trying to learn more about grey, safety, and the risk of it. I’ll be lurking around see what you all think and learning a thing or two.
