I decided to be cheap once and buy inexpensive needles from Amazon; not BD lok-luer.

It couldn't even pierce my skin !!

I do have to say, in his defense, I was talking to a nurse with over 30 yrs experience who said I was being wasteful in putting a fresh needle on my pep-pen before every injection. According to her, "nobody" in the diabetic area of healthcare does that. Slap a needle on, use it till the pen is dead, pitch it, and grab another pen and needle.

Further to that end, this morning I noticed when pricing cartridges on a diabetic supplies website, their "package" deal was 10 carts, and, surprise, 10 needles.

Maybe this guy is on to something?

I posted before that Amazon needles felt like knitting needles. I didn't care for them, and my wife hated them, and doesn't have Wild Boar skin. They were 30g 8mm. Maybe you're buying a different brand that I had. I only bought 30 to try. I have them in a bin for use on something someday.

They must be some good needles, because I draw up GHK-CU, then draw up some back into the syringe to dilute it (Hospira has some THICK vial stoppers). After that the needle is so dull it takes a lot of force to puncture my skin. I can't imagine using that same syringe all week.

I hear you but think about it the guy draws from the vial and somehow thinks that if he then changes the needle and uses a new needle that is a safer way, which in fact adds another layer and another possible way to contaminate or come in contact with contaminants. No other way to call it than dumb.

It's a lot smarter than using the same syringe for each peptide and reusing a syringe. You do you, buddy.

These were real cheap. When the box arrived it had nothing but Asian writing on it.

I even use a different needle to draw and change it for the injection.

And it's always BD Luer-Lok.

My apologizes...Let's blame it on a momentary lapse of insanity (or old age)..

When using peptides I use the same needle to draw and pin; 30g

With my TRT I use a 18g to draw and a 26g to pin.

Smaller sample size over 30 years. In all those 30 years, I have seen one bad infection (it was friend and it did require antibiotics) (one day he had pants on, and we were like, is your ass bleeding). 30 years ago where I was from, it was hard to get 22-23 garage needles, so we would reuse those damn 22 garage needles (like sticking a pencil in your glute after a few). The dude that got an infection, super clean routine. Alcohol pad, wipe vial before and after, etc. You can be safe but seems like infections are somewhat random and very rare. Using the same draw needle can’t meaningful impact that chance. But I do hate when I don’t hit the rubber vial part right and have to jab a less sharp needle in my belly.

I'm not gonna comment on the practice of reusing a needle over and over and sterility, as that's been well covered here. But I'm curious to how long these micro needles last and dull. I Can personally tell if any of the ones I use, have been into the vial once vs twice - It doesn't hurt, but I can defo tell. I'd have thought that at something like 6 stabs, the end would be fully bent over and the liquid would struggle to get in/out. They also seem that thin, that it would take much to break one off in the vial, or me.

I'm always amazed at how they make these 30+ gauge needles and put a sharp tip on them.

Update: Despite all the push back from you guys I have continued and still continue to do the same exact thing. One needle for several peptides for few days till it gets dull. Never had any reaction, not even a little redness and no infections and no other adverse conditions whatsoever to report. BTW, don't know if @ ostrichsak (and others who were concerned I'll die if I keep doing same thing) are still around but thought it to be important to give an update.

I have nothing to add about how stupid this idea is. I just curse you for reviving this zombie thread and making me read it. It was truly torture.

this is the biggest bunch of crap (I'm talking about the pic you posted). The needle tip would much rather snap then bend. BS, the tip does get dull though and no it does not bend.

Cheap needles will 100% bend.... But my state sucks about needles, so I do end up with a lot of cheapies.

He's only changing the needle because he thinks the rubber stopper is dulling the syringe, well it's not. I can't even feel the 31g 8mm needle. I had tossed his idea area around for a little, then moved on from this thought.

The stopper absolutely can dull a needle.... It's why I switched to pens. Poking myself doesn't dull a pen, but a regular needle into the stopper is definitely noticable.

I bend needles all the time! Even against my skin. EasyTouch 31ga 8mm. Dunno if it's the GHK-Cu working or what.

Never broke one.

I do know its also due to my ham-handed skillset, though.

Bent a bunch putting the caps back on my pens. Note to self; 8mm needles definitely stick past the springy cover on a V2 Pep-pen!

It's obvious he was playing us. (And probably re-using needles, too. But as I mentioned earlier in this thread, that's actually pretty commonplace in the diabetic community. Doesn't make it right, but, to quote my most-hated expression, it is what it is).

It was funny watching people fall into his trap, and get worked up over it. This whole gray market business is all about personal risk, and what you're willing to accept.

Don't expect me to fall in line with your risk level. I won't ask you to follow mine.
