First has anyone noticed a difference by taking NAD+? The people on reddit say it fixes everything from a stomach Ace to acne.

What's your thoughts on supplements vs injections for NAD+.
So a local medspa recently offered a deal for 3x 50mg IM ininjections for $75. I bought them for both my wife and myself.

I freaking loved it, while my wife didn’t notice any real difference.

For me, I felt amazing for 2-3 days after each injection. My workouts were incredible, my sleep was better, and just overall felt great.

I will say that each injection had less effect than the shot before, so I assume my body was just getting used to it.

I intend to purchase a kit of it in the future

From what I know, NAD injection is not supposed to work because your cell can not take it up, and there are 0 studies showing that it works. Taking its precursors, like NR, might have a little better effect instead.

Keeping in mind that I have only had 4 doses of 25mg each, here is what I have noticed:

I slept longer

I fall asleep faster

I slept deeper

I wake up easier

I am not groggy

I have a looooong history of insomnia and routinely use over the counter sleep medication. In my attempts to avoid over using them but still get sleep I have a rule that I have to have 2 nights of little to no sleep in a row before I allow myself to take a pill on the 3rd night. This means that I had been taking a sleeping pill about twice a week for many years. I buy the pills in the big bottles. Since the NAD+ I have not taken a pill.

Do you take NAD+ in the evening?

Half life is super short on injections. I’ve been taking nicotinamide ribosome and after 2 months it’s been a huge gain in energy and clarity. However most NR supplements are bunk as tested by Tru Niagen and I don’t buy theirs either as it’s too expensive.
Were do you get yours?

I have been taking 50mg daily for about 3 months now. I really like it. When I first started taking it I would get a little rush for about 5min after each injection. That died down, but I still feel energized for a few hours. My workouts are improved if I take it right before heading to the gym. I haven't noticed any cognitive benefits such as improved focus or mental clarity that some people seem to experience. Sleep has improved but I cant fully credit NAD since I started Tesa/Ipa around the same time and I think they have more to do with that. Overall I am happy with the benefits I have experienced and will continue to cycle it or maybe just drop to a once a week maintenance dose.

NAD+ INJECTION I love it.

NAD+ was the single biggest gain, for me anyway, of everything I have taken.

A little background to put it in perspective. I was 60yrs old, Hatchimotos and survived septic shock in 2023. I was on a lot of prescription meds, which were leading to a lot of inflammation, weight gain, extreme fatigue and brain fog.

So my NAD levels were probably on life support to begin with.

I started off very low (thankfully) at 25mg. I noticed it's effects w/i 45 minutes.

I had this weird tingling up my legs (if felt great to me) and my brain felt like it had been scrubbed with menthol.

My energy shot thru the roof (but not the jittery kind) and I swear I was in full blown squirrel mode, flitting from one project to the next (it did not help my focus in the beginning).

I cannot describe it, I just felt better and alive again.

Was able to get off my prescriptions w/i a couple weeks, I was feeling that much better.

Now here is the weirdest part of my NAD+ journey: it improved my eyesight. I'm not joking.

I thought to myself "no way"...but here I was, my glasses were no longer working to drive, I had to take them off to read the road signs.

So, I delved deeper into studies on pubmed and nih, and sure enough, there are real studies being conducted with NAD+ and age related vision loss.

So for me, NAD+ will forever be in my toolkit ...I would give up everything else before I gave up that.

Now, not everyone has as pronounced response as I did...we all know how our bodies respond differently...but yes. NAD+ is top tier, #1 for me.

I now take 50mg every other day.

Precursor supplements, while effective require much more time and build up in the system.

I love hearing this had such a profound effect for you!

Out of curiosity, have you run the full 14 week NAD+, ss-31, mots-c protocol, that's so popular on the internet these day?

If so, what was your take on it? If not, are you considering it?

I added MOTS-c on the NAD+ but did not run SS-31 first. I ran MOTS-c for only 4 weeks and backed off as it was leaving me feeling drained. My understanding is, if this does happen, to go ahead and do SS-31 first. So that is what I am doing as soon as I make that SS-31 purchase. I was hoping that the NAD+ was enough of a repair in my system, that I really didn't need the SS-31 and since I had a full kit of MOTS-c in the freezer, thought I'd go ahead with that first...nope. Restarting w/SS31

I started taking liposomal NAD+ 2 weeks ago, after taking and stopping subq. The subq gave me a noticeable boost but I stopped taking it because I got unbuffered and it stung too much for me. I also thought I’d try these liposomal NAD capsules and if it’s noticeable, it would save me a pin, or I can cycle something else in.

I feel like so far I do notice some energy from these capsules, but I don’t get any kind of immediate “rush” of energy like I did from the injection. I’m fine with that 👍 I’m curious to see if taking it orally for about 2 months produces a more noticeable effect.

You could add a solution of sodium bicarbonate to buffer your self. I think it’s underground supplies that has it…. It’s on here. Under supplies in a thread.

Thank you for this! I am going to try that 👍

I have been a long time believer of NAD and have been on its precursors before NAD injections became a thing. I've used oral nicotinamide/niacinamide with carbs for an instant energy boost in the past when I was severely ill and also still enjoy nicotinamide injections.

That being said, I do not feel much benefits from NAD injections at 100mg/day; in fact I get a better boost from plain old b3 pills or nicotinamide injections. My batch was tested by a third party independently so I do not question the quality of the product.

The best hack I can offer from being a lab rat for many years is to take low dose b3 pills with carb heavy meals; you will almost never feel lethargic and you won't have that afternoon crash. I also like taking b1 (thiamin) together with b3 for better focus during the day.

I did injections for about 4 months and didn't notice any difference. I am just shy of 48F, and while the prescriber's protocol might have been...weird by comparison to what I've read on here so far, it just didn't seem to do much. They had me loading up front and then dropping down over the following weeks but even in the front load...I just didn't feel much difference. I have debated reconstituting the other powder vial I have and trying the protocol I have seen here, but I am not in any rush to try again.

I take 50mg 3 days a week in the morning. I have more energy and better workouts. I do I/m and like it better than subq.
