Mystery peptide with high endotoxin results

I just hope that endo testing becomes more common and called out when it's high. At least one vendor i now buy from will refund on endo "fail"

Just out of curiosity, what is the vendor’s definition of endotoxin fail? If it’s the FDA limit, that’s a large number and people probably have risk tolerances below that amount.

I'd just like to say thank you for sharing the results and being conscientious about ensuring they were valid.

A lot of money and effort goes into this testing and we all really appreciate that you help keep the community safe.
Thank you. We always said anything dangerous gets shared. After the initial estimate we told people to hold fire, don't use the vials but also be aware that it was an inaccurate result due to the assay range.

Now we have definitive proof. We are still checking a few more things but I think we feel comfortable saying that these vials should be binned.

Let's see what response Jeep gives.

I've only heard of one vendor that will replace or refund based on endos exceeding a specific limit, as a matter of policy. The rest might do it under pressure from their customers, like what needs to happen here. It's also only recently that we've seen increasingly higher counts. It does seems to be getting worse, which is concerning. It wasn't long ago that Janoshik said that the Endo test was mostly a waste of money because it's so rare.

In the last couple of small test groups that I led, I personally subsidized for endotoxin testing because of this increasing trend. It was the advice from Jano that most people cited as to why not to spend the money. It was also suggested to me by some other test leads that most folks only care about mass/purity and if I didn't include three of them, that people might walk. This latest result definitely makes me want to continue testing for endotoxins.

The role of endotoxin in septic shock - PMC

Septic shock can be caused by a variety of mechanisms including direct effects of bacterial toxins such as endotoxin. Annually, approximately 5–7 million patients worldwide develop sepsis with very high endotoxin activity in the blood and more than ...

I think we should calm down about it.

According to the FDA the standard acceptable limit is 5 EU per kg (2.2 lbs) of body weight in an hour. So if you weigh 200 lb. that is 90 kg .. we are talking about 450 EU being ok to handle for the average person.

If the entire vial has 1350 EU it would have to be split up into at least 3 doses to be considered "safe." Depending on what this is a vial of it might not be a problem at all.

BUT

We also have to be aware of this if we are taking multiple injections all at the same time.

Let's say every vial that I own has this much endotoxin. I have vials of sema 10mg and I take 2mg doses so each dose I take would have 270 EU in it. Then on top of that I have KLOW 80mg and lets say I take a 10mg dose of that (I don't) so its another 170 EU .. that would be dancing awfully close to the limit for a 200 pound person (which sadly I am not)

Personally this isn't an issue for me unless there are much larges doses of endotoxins in my stuff. But if someone is smaller and takes more stuff all at the same time .. well then you can worry about it.

I personally like my tacos spicy and would have to pass on this batch of spicy tirz 🙃. I'm sure that there will be an opportunity to pick up some of these spicy kits on sale on B/S/T forums. Not on my to-do list. All kidding aside, I believe someone said that some people pinning from the batch have reported increased heart rates and fever. That's nothing to joke about and in the wrong person, could be a really bad situation.

There’s a lot of confusion around FDA endotoxin limits. For subcutaneous administration, the limit is 5 EU/kg, which corresponds to about 350 EU for a 70 kg individual per dose. Based on that, a vial containing 1350 EU total would exceed the allowable exposure at doses above approximately 7.8 mg. It’s also important to emphasize that this limit represents a maximum allowable threshold under controlled conditions, not a target level. For a 225lb person (like me) the EU limit is 510, sounds great, but that's only about 12mg from this vial. I'm on 18mg. Yeah no.

You're aware the final result was over 2000EU's?

I've watched two people I love die from severe sepsis. I think testing for endotoxins is worth it.

I try and space mine out thru out the day to mitigate for this exact reason. Just to error on the side of caution.

If the 2,306 number is actually accurate, then very low doses of this batch could be above the FDA limit EU/kg/hour limit. In my mind, the 1,350 fails. Clearly why the private testing group released the results to the public and why there are warnings all over the place, with good reason.

Thanks to LS Testing server and the folks over there looking out for all of us!

I am only basing this on the info that was displayed originally. Yes, people should be warned because for some it will have an effect.

As for me, I would still use it even if I had to take several injections throughout the day instead of going back to breaking the bank with retail.
