With the excitement around Reta's phase 3 trial results being shared, I'm sure there are more people now than ever contemplating making the switch from Tirz to Reta.

And while I've read quite a few posts from people who are either stacking both with each other or other peps, or switched from low to mid doses of one as they transition to the other, I haven't seen many posts from long time users who have maxed out Tirz - 15+mg/week, titrated off while working their way up to high dose Reta.

If this is you, please share your experiences and results from doing so. I'm very curious about this and think it would be useful to the community to have these examples in one thread.
I haven't seen you posting in a minute! Hiya!

Been in maintenance since May 2025. Posted the following some where before..... I dont think it meets your specific data need as i didn't switch to a Reta high dose, but did not wash out and pretty much went off Tirz cold.

"On Tirz exactly 1 year almost to the day ( May 30th 2025 I believe was my last day). I maxed at 15mg for 5 months. ( roughly January 2025- May 2025.) The bulk of my weight was lost from May 2024 thru December 2024, when I went from 12.5 to 15). My last 20lbs to hit my goal was when I went to 15mg Tirz. In the last 2 weeks of my Tirz use, I dropped to 10mg and implemented .125 cagri. I then dropped the Tirz all together the next week, began 1mg Reta and with .25 Cagri for maintenance ( no wash out, though I considered it). "

Still at goal, at 3mg Reta alone. Dropped Cagri November 2025. I inadvertently lost roughly 15 more lbs during maintenance, which is why I stopped the Reta/ Cagri stack. I’m staying at Reta 3mg protocol for maintenance as long as weight stays stable for me with no more loss. I can always go back to Cagri if food noise isn't tolerable.

I had been on Tirz for close to 2 years before switching to Reta. I was on 15mg for many many months. I have now been on Reta for a few months. Maybe around 3 months. I am getting the same affects with only being on 2mg of Reta each week. Things are going great!

Good luck, please report back with your findings!
So far, so good after 1 day. I also forgot to add that I'm stacking Cargi as well. I haven't noticed a big change in appetite or any side effects. I'll probably go down to 5mg of Tirz next Sunday and up to 4mg of Ret next Wed.

I've been on Tirz for around the same amount of time, fantastic results so far, but feel like I need a little boost to get over theline to my GW, did you ramp down the Tirz or just swap cold to RT and move up to 2mg over time?

I started on Wegovy about 3-4 years ago when it was just coming out, started low and titrated up to max dose. I was Switched to TrIz (Mounjaro) once it came out since Wegovy wasn't working. Insurance stopped covering Triz so I was switched back over to Wegovy. After a year again of titrating down and back up, Triz was covered again and have been on it for about 2 years 15 mg No Changes, weight seemed to just hover and not drop. Switched to Reta on 11/27/25 and slowly titrated up while titrating down from 15mg Triz to 2.5 and Reta from 2 to 8mg. Over the past 4 years i followed the 7 day pin recommended with Triz medicine, switched to alternating pins now with a 5-6 day overlap and all of a sudden, weight has finally started to drop and food noise is gone. Barely can eat and have zero appetite. So as of today, I'm down 20lbs and averaging 3lbs per week. This sight has been huge helping with research, support and info. Also note that my Endo correctly diagnosed and found a 3.7cm tumor on my adrenal gland (Cushing's Disease) that was pushing excess cortisol into my body for 5-10 years. Had that removed about 2 years ago. This along with Reta have been a life changer for me. Nothing had worked prior, not Wegovy, Not Triz (Mounjaro), Only 8mg Reta and 2.5mg Triz is doing the job.

So happy i found this sight and all the information it provides.

Thanks
Ive lost 110 pounds on sema since mid 2023. Then stalled and Went up to 3mg last summer. I'm currently at 1.25 mg and still stalled. I started stacking 2mg Reta a couple weeks ago. I had very little issues with side effects on Sema except for constipation. Im debating how fast I can ramp up Reta stacked with Sema. Without getting to many side effects.

7 days after my first ever Reta dose (5mg), and 3 days after my 9+ mg dose: zero side effects, strong suppression, but no real weight loss, despite eating less.

I’ll take 10mg on Saturday, 6 days after the last dose.
Update: I took my second 9mg reta dose/3rd Reta dose ever today (I settled for 9mg every 6 days, equivalent to 10.5mg every 7 days), so far I love it.

I can see and feel it actually doing something positive, whereas 20mg Tirz + 6mg survo every 3/6 days wasn’t doing much anymore.

No offense to Ghetto Reta, but after my Tirz engine stalled, both Maz and Surv failed to jumpstart it beyond 3 weeks.

(I tried keeping a 7 day schedule with the addition of increasing doses of Maz for 2-3 months, it’s only after that failed that I started experimenting with shorter dosing schedules).

Will Reta keep working longer, or follow the same fate? Stay tuned!

I'm currently in a stall for the past couple days. Still in a calorie deficit, drinking plenty of water and keeping my electrolytes balanced. Hopefully it's just my body catching up to the 22 lb loss over the past 6 weeks while on Reta 8mg and 2mg Triz.

Do you get much sides running at 9mg?

My Withings scale finally dropped suddenly today after being seemingly stuck, so I’m officially at my record low since I started GLP1RAs, but like I said, both Maz and Survo did that too, only to rebound after 3 weeks.

None whatsoever.
Im running 5mg and the constipation is pretty rough. So upping fibre and fluids but still pretty bad lol

What worked for me with Zepbound was Colace 50mg before each meal, up to 100mg if necessary.

That's one of the reasons I decided to switch to Reta. The sides from 12.5 mg Tirz are absolute murder for me.
