Here’s another report of cold turkey transition from Tirz 15mg to Reta.

It inspired me to switch my MOTS-C to 10mg M/W/F.

Interesting.

I too am very interested in this. I'm currently on 12.5mg down about 60lbs with another on 100lbs to go but I've stalled on tirzepatide for a few months now. I'm debating whether or it's worth the switch to reta and if I can break my plateau and reach goal weight.

I'm also curious as to how I should go about dosing reta since I've read numerous threads that most people find their results on reta disappointing when they are on high does of tirz.

I pinned my last Zepbound on Sunday, 5mg Reta on Wednesday with no side effects, and am planning on 10mg on Sunday.

I still hesitate between a 6 or 7 days schedule.

So, you need 30mg of MOTS-Ç weekly? I see some vendors have 40mg vials. Just wanted to make sure I was looking at it correctly.

With the excitement around Reta's phase 3 trial results being shared, I'm sure there are more people now than ever contemplating making the switch from Tirz to Reta.

And while I've read quite a few posts from people who are either stacking both with each other or other peps, or switched from low to mid doses of one as they transition to the other, I haven't seen many posts from long time users who have maxed out Tirz - 15+mg/week, titrated off while working their way up to high dose Reta.

If this is you, please share your experiences and results from doing so. I'm very curious about this and think it would be useful to the community to have these examples in one thread.
I was on high tirz and freezing all the time, and stalled, so I started with very low dose Reta and slowly decreased my tirz and increased my Reta. I was off tirz completely, but decided to add it back in because my arthritis returned. Currently stack 2.5 tirz with my 8 or 10 Reta and a low dose of Cagri too to get the last stubborn pounds off.

Yes. I was taking 5mg/2 days (alternating with SS-31 after a cycle with SS-31 alone), and had already noticed that when I increased to 7mg I started sweating again, which was a good sign.

I did! Triz for a year and a month at the highest dose. The hunger is frustrating at first. And also a bit like “is this stuff working” I’ve optd to stack, delivery today. I am in love with Triz noise elimination, I also enjoy the nausea sides of Triz. But once you work thru the titration period, Reta is the true goat. I hope soon for success of Reta they normalize stacking for a couple 2-3 months. The main points are. GI upset for me with Reta is no nausea but hunger (which I hate). Constipation but I am familiar with that with Triz titration. With Reta I crave sweets and salt. As opposed to complete food repulsion with triz. But I’m able to drink more water. I don’t get food “Ick” like with Triz, but I do find early to mid meal disinterest in eating. As where with Triz, sometimes I would need to spit my bite out mid chew. So be mindful of thoughtless eating. With Triz daily exhaustion was common. But Reta, no exhaustion however I find trouble going to sleep. I’m still early with Reta, about 3 weeks so I’ve found my optimal dose yet. With all that, scale hasn’t moved yet. However, I’m eating more and not gaining. It’s all a balancing act. Reta is the superior drug by far. And comparing the two is like apples to oranges. So please don’t get discouraged with different sides. I truly LOVE triz sides and believe they’re instrumental in my 84lb loss thus far. Which is why I’m stacking both beginning today. Also adding some tesa, Ipam, aod, to increase the visceral fat burn/loss. The schedule if you’re wondering I’ve settled on is

Week One Triz 12.5 and Reta 2.5

Then will rotate them on a 7/5 schedule (only doing Triz every 7 and Reta every 5 increasing Reta by 1-1.5 mg and maintaining or decreasing Triz as my body tells me to. Triz is not needed when Reta is at Full burn also redundantly over loads receptors and increases plateau stage too soon and you’ll need to then cycle. Always remembering more is not better. Always listen your body. What works for me won’t always work you. But with the Reta hunger/cravings and adding GHRh and GHRp I’m subsequently adding additional hunger to my day requiring additional support from Triz sides. Always here to answer more in depth questions Twin!

Have you tried adding Cargi to help with appetite suppression while you titrate down on Tirz?

I haven’t. Tbh I am just learning about all these. I’ve seen cargi but I’ve not researched it, but I will! Thank you 🙏

I'm a high dose Tirz veteran as well. For me, I tolerated Tirz well through 7.5mg; after that, I felt like I got hit by a train for the first three days after my Tirz pin. I couldn't eat or drink anything, and not in a good "oh my appetite is suppressed and I'm feeling good" way, but in a "well I haven't eaten or drank anything in 16 hours, surely this 8oz of water won't make me nauseous, but it somehow does" way. In stark contrast to my wife, who is on 15 mg Tirz and is doing phenomenally well.

Prior to Reta I added in CJC1295/Ipa twice daily, and Tesamorelin in the evening, to hopefully try and address some lingering visceral fat. These seem to increase my appetite, as expected, but it's generally not an issue.

When I started Reta, I went with a 2 mg pin 4 days after my Tirz pin. I just passed my 4th week on Reta, and have been titrating up quickly, 2 weeks with 2 mg, next 2 weeks with 4 mg, and this coming week I'll go to 6 mg. I've had no negative effects that I can see from the Reta, and I am so much more comfortable and happy on the lower dose of Tirz. I went from 12.5 mg down to 5 mg, and I'll be dropping to probably 2.5 mg for the next couple of weeks as I ramp Reta up.

My plan is to get on Reta exclusively and let the Tirz wash out over 5 or 6 weeks. I plan to be on Reta 10 mg by that point. If I'm dealing with any lingering hunger issues (my cycle with the GH secretagogues should be wrapped by then), I'll probably add Sema to the mix, based on the many positive experiences of people here with Sema and Reta.

In short, I have nothing negative to report by taking a more aggressive titration schedule with Reta while rapidly dropping the Tirz.

I started on Wegovy about 3-4 years ago when it was just coming out, started low and titrated up to max dose. I was Switched to TrIz (Mounjaro) once it came out since Wegovy wasn't working. Insurance stopped covering Triz so I was switched back over to Wegovy. After a year again of titrating down and back up, Triz was covered again and have been on it for about 2 years 15 mg No Changes, weight seemed to just hover and not drop. Switched to Reta on 11/27/25 and slowly titrated up while titrating down from 15mg Triz to 2.5 and Reta from 2 to 8mg. Over the past 4 years i followed the 7 day pin recommended with Triz medicine, switched to alternating pins now with a 5-6 day overlap and all of a sudden, weight has finally started to drop and food noise is gone. Barely can eat and have zero appetite. So as of today, I'm down 20lbs and averaging 3lbs per week. This sight has been huge helping with research, support and info. Also note that my Endo correctly diagnosed and found a 3.7cm tumor on my adrenal gland (Cushing's Disease) that was pushing excess cortisol into my body for 5-10 years. Had that removed about 2 years ago. This along with Reta have been a life changer for me. Nothing had worked prior, not Wegovy, Not Triz (Mounjaro), Only 8mg Reta and 2.5mg Triz is doing the job.

So happy i found this sight and all the information it provides.

Thanks

I messed up filtering that single vial of Reta into another vial (I mostly use pens), so ended up closer to 9mg Reta today, instead of 10.

I still had strong suppression on Saturday (3 days after my first dose of 5mg Reta), today not so much.

I was currently taking Zepbound (15mg), Tirz (5 mg) and Survo (6 mg) (and stalled), and switched cold turkey to Reta high dose, should be interesting.

Recent daily history: T5+S6/0/0/Z15/0/0/R5/0/0/0/R9

Looking at glp1plotter.com, I should probably have pinned a day earlier, especially since I ended up pinning 9mg instead of 10. But I didn’t plot the Survo, and its glucagon-A.

My first week without Zepbound/tirz in 13 months, scary.

Oh well, my real Reta kit arrives tomorrow.

You were taking a combined 20mg/week of Tirz?

Seems fairly radical and to drop that entirely taking 14-15mg of Reta in the first 4 days.

7 days after my first ever Reta dose (5mg), and 3 days after my 9+ mg dose: zero side effects, strong suppression, but no real weight loss, despite eating less.

I’ll take 10mg on Saturday, 6 days after the last dose.

Starting my first dose of Ret today. I've been on 15mg Tirz split into bi-weekly doses. Backed off to 6mg on Sunday and plan to pin 2mg of Ret tonight to start with.

Good luck, please report back with your findings!

I'll be upping my Reta to 6 mg this week. This will be my 5th dose of Reta. Took a full 12.5 mg of Tirz 5 weeks ago when I started the Reta, then dropped down. This week I'm at like 3.25 mg Tirz and I'll go 6 mg on the Reta.

That Tirz dose is just because the vial in the fridge is reconned at 65.xx mg / ml since it's mainly for Mrs. NYD who takes 15 mg / week, and trying to measure 0.053 ml in a 1 ml insulin syringe was too hard an 0.05 was easy.

I’m moving from low Tirz (2.5mg 2x week) to Reta. Yesterday I took 2mg of Tirz, 2mg of Reta today. Yesterday’s tirz precious dose was 6 days prior.

On-ramping Reta with split dosing based on observed adverse symptoms (none) and prior glp experience (limited to Tirz) working towards trough levels of 3+mg with the common therapeutic disease range being 4-6mg/week.

! I have nothing to add to the topic but wanted to wish you Happy Holidays @DwightTheDelight ! 🎄

I've got 6000mg Tirz in the freezer and I'm still at 5mg in maintenance... What's Reta?
I had stocked up on GLP-1’s and have been away from most of social media for awhile. Which helped stop my vial buying addiction. I recently came back to the weight loss subs and am getting the itch to buy again. But I Can say I'm no where near 6000mg or eight years 😳. On more like four with a mix of S, T, R
