Labeling vials tonight

I definitely feel the FOMO when I see all the cool colors and shiny labels people are making. Then I let my logical side win, and I'm okay with my B1 Pro and D11. I justify sticking with what I've got by telling myself that I hardly ever look at my labels anyway. They're more for if/when I reconstitute them, so I can keep track of what is what and how much I have left.

I've definitely printed a few labels for my entertainment, too, though.

OK, another rabbit hole...

With a inkjet or laser printer, what sticker sheets are good to stay stuck in the fridge freezer?

I'm thinking some sticker sheets laminated?

Just ordered more hydropeaks and using those round labels on my M2 so i can read whats on em. Damn i love my niimbot.
Do you, or anyone know if they make round labels for the D110? It would be very helpful with 317 vials in that case. Well, case holds 288, but I have another 50 and two 63's cases.

I’m going to play devil’s advocate here because I went pretty far down the labeling rabbit hole myself and ended up buying both the D110 and the M2.

Honestly… I kind of regret the money spent now. Over time I evolved into mostly using pens anyway. They sit in the fridge 23+ hours a day and only come out for dosing, so eventually I realized I was putting way more energy into labels than actual utility.

Realistically my D110 could’ve handled everything I truly needed.

Don’t get me wrong, I still keep templates updated for my pens and I switched over to silver labels because the holographic ones made scanning COA QR codes a pain in the ass.

Although it is cool hooking a buddy up with a clean custom label setup, long term I don’t really think all the extra investment was worth it IMO.

Ima address this just cause the devil doesn't need any advocates, he's doing fine. Did you get a hundred bucks worth of joy out of your m2 and the fancy labels you made and all the learning how to do it and what to do before you lost interest? I believe so hard that joy is a fine variable when I'm considering value for money.

I've got a tongue drum I bought from Russia that I fretted over just randomly dropping like eight hundred bucks on with shipping factored in when I didn't even know how to play the damn thing when I bought it. But I've absolutely gotten eight hundred bucks worth of joy out of it when I consider all the hours I've spent playing it since I got it, and the longer I have it, the better that value ratio is because I keep getting joy out of it. But if I lost interest in it tomorrow and never touched it again, it still wouldn't be a waste because all the joy-hours I DID get add up to a good return on investment overall.

I have marklife P15 from Temu with sparkling stars silver labels and they stick very good on the vials and can also be good removed again (I remove them before throwing the empty glas vial away). We started marking a lot of other goods in our household too (Guitars, cables, music equipment of the band, etc. )

These are the correct labels for D110 and D11. The picture in the listing is very wrong, size-wise (AI gone wrong?) These are perfectly sized for 3mL vials.

I have also bought colored ones on AliExpress, for when the clear ones won't show up well on the vial caps (or just for more fun!)

Now ya’ll got me looking at label makers.
GAS is real, and contagious. No matter the hobby, when you get interested in it the prices go sky high and you still can't resist the urge.

I figured “devil’s advocate” was still socially acceptable shorthand and not a declaration of theology. 😂

To answer your question, honestly, no, I didn’t personally get enough value out of the M2 process to justify the cost. That’s more or less what my comment was trying to say. The D110 suffices and was all that I needed in hindsight.

I do get your broader point though. There are definitely things where the learning process alone makes the purchase worth it. This one just didn’t end up being that for me.

That's fair. It's not really an idle-curiosity question for me; every time the labels thing comes up, I suspect so hard that I MIGHT get a hundred bucks worth of joy out of a fancy labeller, even though I also use pens and in no way need one, then I get distracted and don't buy one, and back and forth.

Hahah. I hear you! I’d reinvest the M2 money into some fun pens for sure. But your point is well received. Which pen is your favorite?

V1. Very first pen I ever tried. I bought a couple, then tried out knockoff V2's and read way more than was interesting about all the different auto ones, and then my knockoff V2's stopped doing a consistent pin and I got very bored, bought three more V1's, and marked that particular rabbit hole "all done." I don't actually believe that there's a significant difference in joy or ease between the best and average pen.

90% of the excitement of package delivery day is that I get to label everything. Happy with my D11 for now though.

Okay maybe it's more like 50% because we love new things to research.

I got mine yesterday. Now to figure out how to make the print a good size on them.

Silver doesnt look bad either.

I learned the hard way, m2 is the way to go if your not gonna go all the way with a fancy inkjet. Anything else will just give you the sad 🙁
Are those the 40mm x 20mm labels? Do you somehow import the design into the Nimbot? Rookie here, have never owned a label printer....
