I would guess that after a year it is not directly caused by the Reta. Sounds more like an upset in your microbiome, or a GI infection. If it lasts more than a week or is pretty bad , or if you feel unwell or have a fever, or blood in poo, might be worth a proper medical opinion. Any travel? antibiotics? change in diet? It is easy enough to stop it for a few doses and see what happens, then maybe restart at a lower dose if it gets better with stopping. Stopping it for a while might help even if it is not the actual cause of the current symptoms.

I had something similar for a few weeks with sulfur burps that I had never had before, I think I was on ozempic at that time, I thought at the time maybe related to fiber intake, and hydrogen sulfide producing bacteria, but it went away without any answers.

Studies were done on dose changes for weight or kidney disease on Tirzepatide and Semaglutide, have not seen the Reta one but is very unlikely to be different. It was decided that changing doses for weight or anything else was not needed, it does make a bit of difference but the effect is not huge, around 30% between highest ( blood level lower ) and lowest weight persons, but individual variation in response is larger than that, and doses can easily be adjusted if needed.

No changes, no other meds, no travel. The only difference was starting a new kit, but same supplier same strength etc. So that might be a coincidence.

After reviewing test results on the scammers manipulating test results for profit at Finnrisk, I see there was a batch of Amo R10 that was overfilled by almost triple (36mg). I feel like this is what has happened to me. As I am already at 12mg/wk, any significant overfill could cause me side effects both because it is an increase in dose and because it exceeds the max dose. I am going to send a vial from this new kit in for testing and in the meantime just switch to a different kit.

I'm not at your dosage but I did have similar, sudden sides and changes after about 2.5 months. Everything was going fantastic and I suddenly started getting sporadic, violent hiccups, as well as various GI issues.

This lasted about 3-4 weeks and eventually went away. As far as WHY it went away, I'm not certain, but there are three main possibilities:

1. I started taking a digestive enzyme before the first meal of each day (and oftentimes a second or even third in the same day)

2. I started taking a daily 20 mg of omeprazole, an acid reflux reducer

3. I reduced the reta dose

I've since re-titrated back up to and even slightly beyond that dose so I don't think it was #3. Another possibility though is that it was just plain something else and it went away on its own, and I'm still taking the enzyme and omeprazole for nothing.

Please follow-up if you test. Amo historically has tested really well. (Amotide, Amopure, Amolist anyway, haven't kept up beyond those incarnations).

Perfect, I now do all 3 of what you just listed so hopefully I can re-titrate up relatively quickly. The sudden food noise is definately a nuisance.

Will do. Yes I’ve been using them since the beginning and like the support and payment options.
