I’m about to start my first research chem routine and wanted to introduce myself with a bit of background.
I’ve struggled with my weight my entire life. I’ve yoyo’d up and down, from 125 kg at my heaviest to starving myself down to 79 kg. My relationship with food has always been messy. At the same time, I’ve always been active and strong, even doing backflips at 110 kg.
For the last 3 years I’ve been in and out of the gym, always the “strong fat guy”. I also swim, ride road bikes, play padel, and play squash. But I just eat a lot of food and that has always been my problem.
A few months ago I decided to try Mounjaro. I dropped 20 kg in just 2.5 months (from 105 to 85 kg).
I never had the “wow effect” that some people report, like taking one bite and feeling full. I could still eat whatever was in front of me, and the food noise never fully went away. But it definitely helped me say no to food for the first time in my life.
Even though I’ve lost a lot of muscle eating around 1000 kcals per day, I actually look more muscular now than ever before. That’s not for nothing after 3 years in the gym. My main focus going forward is to preserve as much muscle as possible while continuing to cut fat.
Right now I’m stalled at around 85 kg on 7.5 mg Mounjaro. My options are either:
1. keep titrating up (10 mg is already €750 and gets even pricier from there), or
2. switch into the research peptide route.
Here’s the stack I’ll be running, and why I chose each compound:
Retatrutide – to take over from Mounjaro as the GLP1/GIP base. Stronger appetite suppression and weight control.
Tesamorelin – targeted visceral fat reduction, which is my biggest issue.
BPC-157 – my knee cartilage is wrecked, so this is mainly for healing and joint support.
Ipamorelin – to support GH pulsatility, recovery and hopefully improve my sleep, which has been terrible lately.
For my first order I’m planning:
Retatrutide (30 mg vials)
Tesamorelin (10 mg vials, 2 kits)
BPC-157 (10 mg vials)
Ipamorelin (10 mg vials)
Bacteriostatic water
