I was alerted to this forum by friend. A year ago I was morbidly obese at 310 lbs and one decimal point away from diabetes (along with cholesterol, aches/pains/sciatica/lumbago, and obstructive sleep apnea). I was placed on Zepbound in April of last year ($55 dollars a month). I began losing weight and feeling better. Then I lost insurance coverage in Jan. when my group plan stopped coverage for weight. I could not afford Lilly Direct. My doctor referred me to a pharmacy for $280 a month for 4 pre-filled syringes. I recently stopped that as well (affordability) when Reddit led me to Telehealth places where I got cost down to about $150/month and am currently using one of them for access to Tirzepatide therapy. Maybe I can lower that cost and leverage that $$ for other tools that people here have had success with.
I've lost about 75 lbs. and have more to go. I'm hoping to take even more control of my own health by learning more about how people have done so and what tools they've used. I want to continue to get even healthier. I'm 61 and want to feel better not bitter as time marches on.
Tirzepatide therapy has done for me what I couldn't do for myself...change my relationship with food. Thanks for reading!
Cheers,
