I have been on Tirz since 2020. I was enrolled in a medical weight loss study in my area. The study went on for a year and a half. I could get a titrated over time dose, a continuous low dose or a placebo. On my way to the first appointment I drove past Culver's. I said to myself, "I'm gonna hit up some cheese curds on the way home." After the appointment and my first injection, I had no idea the dose of whatever I was given. As soon as I approached the Culver's on the way home, I knew I had been given the real deal . I had no craving for any cheese curds whatsoever! Actually, just the thought of them turned my stomach!

I had absolutely no side effects from the meds. To this day, I still have no side effects, other than occasional constipation if I don't get all my fluids in. It was soooooo nice to be able to live my life like I imagined a normal person would, free of that annoying food noice that was always in my head. I ended up losing about 45 lbs in the study.

After my study ended, I was able to get the Mounjaro prescribed to me by a local doctor. My co pay was $40 a month. Totally doable. Fast forward a few more years, I lost my insurance. I then started buying from a friend who could not tolerate the meds due to awful gastric side effects. I would pay his co-pay. I started doing the injection every other week to hoard as much of the meds that I could. He eventually stopped his prescription due to not losing weight (duh). After I blew thru my stockpiles in the fridge, I needed to find a way to continue this wonderful way of life.

Enter Google, Reddit and lab rats and the rest is history. I ended up here out of sheer curiosity. It seems like a great place to grow and learn and continue my normal way of life with people who share some of my experiences.
