One more bump for the world's dumbest NAD thread...
SO, I got my grubby paws on some Sodium Bicarbonate For Injection (SBFI) that my mom yoinked from her place of work. Thanks mom!
I decided to combine a little with my Un-Buffered NAD That Was Advertised As Buffered (UBNTWAAB).
Note that I don't have any pH testing strips on hand.
So first I tried adding 20 units of the 8.4% SB solution to one of my reconned, half used vials of NAD500 (with 3ml water). It bubbled and sizzled. Good sign. Injected about 50mg and the sting was still about the same. So I added another 60 units of SB, then tried another 50mg. Sting was still there but not bad at all, right about where I want it.
Next experiment was reconning a new vial. I tried 1.8ml of BAC water and 1.2ml of sodium bicarbonate. I think I overshot the mark a bit. Almost no sting. Also, I made the mistake of adding the SB before the NAD has fully reconned in the BAC water. After injecting a few hundred milligrams of this new solution, I suspect that there has been a slight loss in potency. Maybe 25%, based on what I normally feel when injecting NAD.
Obviously I need test strips, but I think the next vial should be perfect with 2ml BAC and 1ml SB, maybe a little less SB if I need extra shelf life.

NAD+ is one of the most sensitive ones out there after reconstitution. It comes in the amber vials because of how sensitive to light it is
So it turns out, NAD has this reputation once being buffered with sodium bicarbonate. Unbuffered NAD has a shelf life of months.
The amber vials thing, I just don't understand. J5 is a highly reputable vendor and he's currently selling buffered NAD in clear vials as well.
