Okay. So I’ve never participated in a forum before. And I’ve only ever done “MedSpa” peptides. I want to go gray. Honestly, all of my social media is filled with influencers posting links and discount codes. I understand that those websites aren’t really any different than my MedSpa. My concern is that it’s so popular right now. It makes me feel like this whole peptide thing is a trend and not truly benefiting my health. I have done lots of my own research to try and learn what they are, how they are made, and how they affect our body. I guess I just don’t like the feeling of it being a FAD.

No trend, and wait till Reta is approved. No clue what "social media" you have with "influencers. " that you watch. My take, and only mine. Step away and do research on your own. There's a boat load out there. I probably did 2 months of research reading before I started. My only concern, and it's a very slight possible availability down the road. So, I'm stocking up enough for quite a while. I might be totally wrong. If so, it won't go to waste. Let me put this on quick.

Aren't medspa peptides probably gray anyway? You'd just be cutting out the middleman.

There definitely is some fad phenomenon going on right now but I'm sure there will be some other trend or fad soon.

Peptides only feel like a "fad" because people are jumping on to make money. They've been around for years and have benefited thousands of people. Not to say that they're all miracle drugs. But the main GLP-1's have a proven record.

Lol I do kind of get what you mean. I stayed away from peptides for a long time because the only people shilling them were Joe Rogan types (ahem grifters) and other roided out influencers pushing their affiliate links and discount codes. But I guess a broken clock is right twice a day. My success with Reta has def made me more open to the potential of taking other peptides. But ofc only if there studies behind it are there.

If you are obese or overweight GLP drugs are a game changer, the other peptides not so much. With a few exceptions most do not have good evidence that they are safe or effective treatments for any illnesses, and even less so for general health in well persons. Influencers almost by definition are selling something, and anything they say may have ulterior motives. Ideally read the actual scientific papers on them before considering using them, or at least read a lot on this forum, which is a bit biased towards peptides are great, but less so than sites trying to sell you stuff.

Yes, I mean any music that is popular is for sure trash. I don’t care what it sounds like!
I’m not saying it’s bad. I’m voicing a little of my doubts and worries.

I grow tired of "I'm into peptides" people, whether they're in the TikTok/influencer world or not. These are medications which are used to solve or mitigate specific medical problems. They're not beauty products. They're not cool or trendy.

If you're trying to solve a medical problem (metabolic syndrome being the main one), pay no attention to the influencers and hucksters and videos; read read then read some more to learn how peptides might (or might not!) provide relief (and hopefully without adding harm).

Step away from the TikTok. Et cetera.

Stop teaching your algorithm that you want to hear people with vocal fry and ridiculous mean-mugging thumbnails speak.

My Instagram feed is almost entirely Muppet bloopers and outtakes. I genuinely have no idea why that is. I'm not following the muppets or anything. I have never attempted to correct this or even worked very hard at investigating why that's the case.
