Its not the copper uglies...people mistaken it and call it that. Thats actually your body adjusting and flushing impurities from your body. If you were breaking out in those areas prior and it just escalated than that is what's occurring.

that's a bold statement

SEND HELPPP

I’ve been pinning the GLOW stack for around 3 weeks now and about a week ago noticed I was getting some large pimples on my face and neck. I put it down to hormones.

But tonight omfg I noticed pimples, some small some boil like, on my tummy and back and chest, and my vanity can’t take this 😭😭

I’m really enjoying the benefits I’ve been experiencing on this stack so I want to keep going but need to offset these gross ass pustules (gross-ass, they’re not actually on my ass … yet)

I bought zinc supplements about a week and a half ago, Tbf I’ve forgotten to take them daily but I’ll start being more vigilant with that.

Does anyone have any other advice? Do they go away on their own? Do I have to stop? I’ve dropped from pinning 12 units to 10, but I’m borderline anaemic at the moment so they’re very visible and I can’t unsee them.

OP, i'm going to give you some real advice here.

Adding additional compounds to your stack is probably the worse idea you can do because you are already getting negative effects from your current stack, it literally makes no sense to me.

Be careful with the whole ‘purging toxins’ explanation tbh. Sudden boils/pustules after starting a new injectable stack sounds more like an inflammatory reaction, irritation, dose issue, or even sterility problem than some magical detox phase.

People getting skin boils isn't a detox, its an adverse reaction, idk how anyone can pretend otherwise.

The fact people call it ‘copper uglies’ doesn’t automatically make it harmless.

If it were me, I’d simplify the stack, reduce the number of variables or try reducing dose and monitoring for a week or through, before just ‘pushing through' or adding more compounds to something that's already causing me such a problem... thatts a horrible idea, no way around it.

Thank you! I’ll stick with it. I use pimple patches to help so I don’t leave little marks on my skin (learnt that the hard way in my early 20’s)
I'm in my 50s and still my skin decides to break out whenever it doest like anything :/ The best solution I found for no marks and very quickly calming them is Stridex wipes off iherb.

Thank you for the advice. I’ve reduced the dosage and taken the TB500 out of this blend. I’m not sure it’s an adverse reaction of sorts as I’ve been on it for 3 weeks and the pimples/boils (only two spots id call boils) started maybe 5 days ago just on my face & neck, but last night I noticed pimples across my back, shoulders, and two little boils on my tum tum. Will monitor over the next week and see if they reduce/disappear with a lower dose

I was going to say this--it could just be your skin purging. This happens with a lot of skin care medications, especially retinoids. I would say to give it a week or two to see if this is actually purging, or a side effect. Topical is always an option for you as well!

Yeah, it def seems to be that for us women of a certain age, the GHK-cu does what it's meant to do without the uglies. I've been pinning 2mg of just GHK-cu daily for over 10 weeks and my skin has cleared up, if anything.
that makes sense... if you body doesnt need it itll react

Ooh, I’ll have to look into those wipes! I’m so careful with my skin, shower twice a day with detol wash, change my sheets & pillow cases weekly, don’t use harsh or overperfumed lotions or anything. I have chronically low iron so my skin is pale and borderline translucent at times haha just means every bruise and mark is that much more noticeable

I actually use topical copper peptides as well! I’ve been using a serum for years now, never had any problems. If anything I’ve found it calms the redness I get after a hot shower. I’ve reduced my tret cream (retanoid) usage to twice a week now too.

glad to hear. everybody is different. its important to listen to your body. without using terms like "adverse reaction" or "detox" i think the important part here is to focus on what your body is telling you... i think reducing the compounds you are taking is the right call, give your body some time to adjust and take it slowly.

This is how i use my GHK, topically. It has a very decent amount of medical literature showing it is more effective than tret for topical use on skin. personally i dont buy expensive injectable ghk, i go for ghk topical cremes and I use tret at night and ghk creme in the morning for my face.

Im an athlete and my face got kind of weathered from running in the sun a lot.. somewhat dry and leathery appearance developed, and no joke, 4-6 weeks on tret+ghk I have the face of someone 10 years younger.

good luck to you, OP!

Oh gosh 😲 it might not be purging then. sounds like we've got a fellow skin care lover here! 😎 I hope the side effects clear up for you. there's really nothing better than finding a new skincare product that works!

Are you filtering?

I wouldn't keep using something that coincided with/brought on a mass breakout. I'd simplify. Started with GHK-Cu not Glow. Not Klow. Simple. And, I like it so much there's no reason to add anything to it. Started with 0.5mg then increased every few weeks by 0.5mg until I got to 2mg.

Hope you heal up soon and completely.

Now pinning a glutathione & vitamin C mix- that stung so bad I nearly cried 😅
Did you do Subq or IM?

I'm waiting for mine to arrive and think I'll have to go IM to reduce the pain but it freaks me out haha, been watching a lote of videos to prepare but cant find many instances of people mixing the two together

Ok, this one. This was the post that made me quit fucking around and go order some tret.

I was a motorcycle instructor from my early to late thirties, and did it full time for about five years. Five years out in a parking lot with a cigarette in my hand hollering "I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WERE TRYIN TO DO THERE, BUT DO SOMETHING VERY DIFFERENT" and occasionally dodging a Honda Rebel gave me many fun stories to tell and also a weathered face. I'm not sorry, but maybe it can be LESS weathered.

I started with tret every 2-4 days at night because I easily got sunburned or face peeling if i applied too often and/or go outside directly after applying it. Ghk face cream every morning and ghk face cream every night that I didn’t apply tret. After a few weeks I adjusted fully and could handle tret nightly and hgk every morning

But damn did I get a lot of minor face sunburns the first couple weeks the day after applying tret

do you make the ghk face cream, or buy it?

Thank you. I've been making all of my personal care products except toothpaste and deodorant for a decade, but I just finished having a professional fix my hair after I trainwrecked it in an amusing attempt to go from red-black to blonde, and I'm suddenly reconsidering my long running stance against letting the professionals handle it.

(If anybody trainwrecks their hair in the DFW area and wants to know which Supercuts has a girl that can fix it, DM me, cause god damn my hair is lovely now.)

This made me laugh out loud. My first real motorcycle was a 2018 Rebel 500. That thing was so fun.

Ahh filtering!! No I’m not 😅 I’ll start though if that’s what could be contributing.

Honestly if I had to choose I’d take bpc/tb/kpv over ghkcu at the moment, I have a reasonable amount of chronic pain from an old accident that I’d treat over my skin if I had to choose!

Subq, I’m honestly terrified at the thought of IM 😅 I can handle sting on the skin/in the fat but muscle sting would make me want to cut the leg off hahahaha
