How much Mots-c is anyone who is on it taking? And, how frequently are you injecting?

I thought it was common knowledge you need to stack TMG (Trimethylglycine/Betaine Anhydrous) or another Methyl donor with NAD. Sounds like it may not be, so keep spreading the word.
It's not mentioned in the protocol, and I downloaded the original document. Seems like that would be an important thing to mention, since it can lead to heart issues.

Nice find. Can't wait to drop the word Homocysteine in a conversation with a NAD+ worshipper.
I think it may be slightly more important to mention the heart issues and the betaine. And FNG33 brought up Trimethylglycine/Betaine Anhydrous, so now I need to look into what that's all about. Going to try posting the link to the article, hopefully it won't get me in trouble. https://jaycampbell.com/anti-aging/nad-the-most-hyped-up-anti-aging-compound-of-2022/ Apologies if this link isn't allowed, but the information seems important.

Is betaine the same thing as trimethylglycine?

TMG aka Trimethylglycine is Betaine Anhydrous.

Betaine HCL is something different.

I had been looking into doing the NAD+/SS-31/MOTS-C protocol, and have been reading other threads about it, but no one in those threads has mentioned anything about taking Betaine with their NAD+. Not sure if I am allowed to mention a specific website in here, but this is a quote from that site warning about depleting the "methyl pool", and needing to take betaine to prevent serious problems resulting from that depletion: View attachment 21212
I'm glad I saw this! I'll be starting nad+ as soon as it comes in and I had never heard of this. You will be sending me down the research rabbit hole!

Alex Kikel goes deep here. Starting does are smaller (300mcg.)

Tons of various protocols.

I'm tinkering here.

My mito health was good based on markers avail in my blood work.

I'm 2mg. Felt like superman at work one day. Clean energy. Nothing others.

I have the materials to run SS31, NAD, Mots-c protocol.

Seems SLU-PP-332 plays a role in the Mito package.

To preface, I never did ss31. I was blasting 10mg of mots c 3x per week. Did this for 4-6 weeks. I didn't really feel anything enough for me to do another cycle.

Maybe the ss31 beforehand does make a huge difference like they say.
What benefits did you see from Mots c?

Unfortunately for me they were very negligible. Guess I'm already optimized! Haha, jk.

But your experience could be better than mine. Good luck!

I agree it's good to take a methyl donor supplement when dosing NAD+ however I'd be wary of the above explanation. I don't think the details of how exactly NAD+ metabolism works have been understood by science at this point.

1 mg an hour before my workout. Roughly 4-5x per week

I don’t think I’ve really had all that much difference other than I feel a bit less lethargic

How you finding that ?

Has anyone found something that can alleviate the bloating and GI discomfort from taking Betaine Anhydrous or Trimethylglycine (TMG). I took a single dose yesterday, and my gut still feels distended and bloated. Doesn't seem to be gas related.

So if you have started taking the NAD+, and ur adding TMG, hopefully, you are not also taking any other methylators. I take Methylene blue, but not at any serious dose, I take a half a drop a day, but it is a methylator. So they say, too much of a good thing... well, this is no exception. If ur taking Methylene Blue, then u may need to cut back on your TMG. I don't know how much, but some. And u may want to check some of your other supplements, some B vitamins are methylated, I take a methylated B-12. Just thought I'd let u know, could be important.
