How much is enough

It depends on how you're doing and how long you've been at that dose. Some folks respond to 2.5. I have a friend who takes just 1.25 and is responding. So, don't go up just cuz her dr said that...
I responded really immediately to 2.5mg and lost a good amount in the first four weeks (9lbs or so), went to 5mg and have stayed there since! In hindsight, I probably should have stayed at 2.5mg for longer but my pharmacy put me up to 5mg for the second pen. 46lbs down total now and within 15-25lbs of what I think my final maintenance weight will be.

The one problem with responding so well is that I do wonder what my maintenace dose will be. Presumably very little, maybe under 2.5mg? Which is what is making me nervous about ordering anything yet because I don't want to order vials that have too much in them and I'm wasting meds! And I still have a good stash of KwikPens that could theoretically see me out until 2027 on my speculative dosing schedule.

And then the little hoarder in my brain says "but what if grey market goes away and you have no tirz at all from 2027????" .

Maybe I just buy a load of T10? Who knows...

I hate all of you. I almost made it through the entire month of November without buying ANYTHING, and then today, this thread popped back up and I got anxious about scarcity and ordered a single kit of reta. I'm not even ON reta! Screw you guys, I'm restarting therapy.

I have about 5 years of retatrutide, at current dose. Currently near max dose. I plan on stacking more, especially as the price is under 0.5$/mg.

I just moved up to 5mg today on tirz. A friend of mine said that her dr told her that the first month or so are just to get your body used to the medication and I need to get up to a theraputic dose. I think she said that her dr. told her that. What are your thoughts on this?
Her doctor is following EL’s scale-and-profit based titration schedule, not a grey schedule. Zero need to jump up in those increments nor on that timeline. I consistently lost on 2.5 for 5 months and ultimately never exceeded 8.0. I had zero side effects because I listened to my body instead of BigPharma.

I am terrified of losing access to cheap GLP's. I have no desire to go back to putting up with my body telling me it is going to die of starvation if I don't eat more- the first year after losing 70kg or so, or having to put up with a year of malaise and nausea from low dose semaglutide, just so I would be less hungry. Grey market tiz and reta make staying less fat much much easier.

As far as I can work out , at least for Australia, there will not be cheap legal GLP's until 2030 to 2032, once semaglutide is off patent and there are lots more on the market, especially the Chinese ones which I would guess might be more likely to undercut prices. In a few years sema and tiz might get government subsidies if the government can get them to agree to a cheaper price in exchange for subsidies, but likely only for severe obesity with complications like heart disease. Hopefully by then I will not be fat enough to qualify?

So that makes about 7 years of stockpiling, all the time prices per mg getting cheaper month by month, until one day it is just not possible to get them anymore. My best guess is that the real crackdown in china will come in 2 to 5 years, once the locally developed GLP's are on the market ( the first one already just got approved ), and china is keen to access the western market for them, and does not want the black market eating their new expensive pharmaceutical companies profits. They should be able to scale up production having built up manufacturing scale, equipment and expertise serving the black market. It is very hard to see a reason to tolerate the pirate producers in that environment, but easy to see why they would be happy to ignore them for now - building up expertise in manufacturing at scale. I really do not know enough about China to know whether companies could survive selling peptides once there was official governmental disapproval and serious attempts to quash the industry, but I would guess there goes cheap GLP's.

It depends on how you respond.

I’ve been on Tirz for 22 weeks, the first four weeks at 2.5mg and the rest at 5mg as it’s been working well for me. I had planned to follow the tritiation schedule but as I did more research, I found enough evidence to support staying on the lowest effective dose.

I’m just over 20lbs to goal and I’ll stay at 5mg for as long as it works. Looking back I probably could have stayed at 2.5mg for longer.
good to know. I will try to stay on 5 to see how it goes. Thanks for sharing!

Maybe I should go down to maybe 3mg. that way I can use a vial in 5 weeks instead of 6. I am sure I just need to eat less.....

Im sitting here with my first bottle of reta, and as I read, I think to myself that I will never order as much as you guys do.

Oh no wait a minute, i just ordered a higher dose of reta and five different peptides again two weeks ago. And some new syringes, new filtering stuff and empty bottles.

Whats next?

Im losing control, help me pls

Damn, this new hobby is addictive.
I right there with you. I’ve been reading so many post of Reta helping with bad habits, and not just the food craving ones. And now I’ve realized my new bad habit is reading up on peptides and ordering more 😩 lol

In all seriousness, I have way more than I should. At some point I'll have to offload a bunch of 9 vial bundles of things it turns out I didn't like.
quallіgator has a section for re-homing (in exchange for money) peptides etc that you no longer need.

Max dose 15 mg/week x 52 weeks = 780 mg/60 = 13 vials of 60 mg each. 130 vials for 10 years, double that in order to take care of friends, family, gym bros, hairdresser, neighbors, etc.

So my ideal stash would be 26 kits.
I was happy to finally see the math as that is what I was going to comment. Then you 10x the total. For me, it's reta and I figure titrating up and ending at a max dose of 12mg/week. Once I am there the "maintenance" dose I have found is relatively low like 1-2mg/week (Probably just broscience at this point since nothing is in studies yet). I figure I could be just fine on 3-4 kits of R50.

I went from getting a couple vials from a domestic source and now currently tracking 4 shipments after receiving 4 already this month. Started with Reta and has expanded from there but I don't feel like you ever have enough supply. I feel the same with Peptides as my wife does with chickens, only plan to get a few but you never have enough even after the next one you say no more lol.

And bonus is your peptides will last for ages, so you're actually thinking long term strategy here. No offense to the chicken collecting wife.

Unfortunately our peptides will not reproduce. (sticking up for the chicken collecting wife)

Whose afraid of frankenbatches? Didn't the people who actually took that last one say that it worked really well?

From Gemini AI:

Survival Instinct: When the brain perceives a scarcity of resources, it triggers primal survival instincts to gather and store items to protect against future shortages. This provides a sense of emotional safety and control.

I have now stored more than 5 years worth. Intellectually I know that we are just in the beginning of the peptide weight loss era and that in the next 5 years there will be new generations of better peptides and that competition will drive down the prices. Emotionally, I can never, ever gain back the 114lbs that I lost. I plead guilty to hoarding peptides. Even though it isn't rational, at some deep level I feel better knowing that no matter what happens, I won't be looking back at that fat person in the mirror.
