How long has grey Tirz been around?

I think people have been whispering about grey sema since maybe 2021? Give or take? Tirz feels newer in comparison, like it really picked up steam just in the last year or so.

I don't think they were intending to counter you, yoyo ... I think they were just offering other price points that were happening in the marketplace in the timeframe you're wondering about.

I think your question about when did it all start is super interesting, and members here are just joining in to contribute and learn. (Plus, you know how we as a group just like to comment for comment's sake, lol.)

Like, I can tell you that I started in early fall of '23 and was delighted to pay what are now viewed as a exorbitant amounts 😂

I realize that is neither unique nor does anything to answer your specific question -- but nor is it intended to argue with or annoy you in any way ☮️

Compare to

I was paying $25.00 for four Mounjaro auto-injectors, with insurance, all dosages all thru 2024. That’s $0.42/mg at the best (and $2.50/mg at the worst)

I paid the list price for four Mounjaro auto-injectors of $1,079.77 in January when my insurance dropped coverage. I paid that once and only once. That’s $18/mg (at my 15mg/week)

I paid $1,794.00 in February for 6 months of 15mg/week (12x30mg/3ml vials) compounded Hallendale tirz (and I was really happy about that at the time!) That’s $4.98/mg.

I paid $225.00 for grey 10x30mg lyophilized tirz vials in March, as I got tired of pinning 150 units/week, really really fast. I combined it with the compounded so I’d only need to pin 75 units/week. And I said I couldn’t believe I how happy I was about the compounded price. That’s $0.75/mg.

I knew I could get a better price, but as my first grey buy, I wanted a vendor that had a very active user group that does a lot of 3rd party testing, to feel comfortable. As it’s NOT always just about the cheapest price, take the Ouisa Pharmacy issue/incompetence/fraud for example.

All but my insurance and grey was more than that grey price in June of 2023.
Comprehensive breakdown. I have been purchasing from an online state-side vendor and just made my first grey market purchase, and I had the same considerations. 0.72 cents per mg seemed reasonable to me. I feel that aiming for the cheapest can be a red flag for quality.
