How long does reconstituted Tirz last at room temperature?

Has anyone had experience using reconsituted Tirz at room temperature?

ZepBound/Mounjaro states that it can be used for up to 28 days at room temperature. Is that also the case with Tirz from the grey market?

My concern is that I'll be traveling for 10 days without a refrigerator, and I need to inject twice during that 10 Days.

I would take the pen with a freshly with bac Water reconstituted T30 vial. Will the pen last the full 10 days?

do you have a cooler? if so, you can keep it on ice and prevent bacteria better than room temperature

You could also bring your first injection forward to just before your trip and push the second one back to just after your return?

I'd probably just do this. I'll be leaving for 6 days in March and will take my Reta morning I leave and not worry about next pin til day I come back.

Traveled to the UK last year and just took reconstituted tirz with enough to cover whatever I needed and a couple syringes. It was perfectly fine. Had all the feels.

For your short 10-day trip with only 2 injections needed, yes the reconstituted vial/pen should last the full time without significant issues, assuming reasonable temps. If you're extra cautious, aim to keep it as cool as possible or get a small portable cooler.

How are you traveling? If by air, there are small insulated carry-cases that come with gel-packs that you freeze and they give you a bunch of cold. TSA etc are familiar with them and let them through even when completely thawed, if you pre-emptively bring them (and your dangerous clean needles!) to their attention. If you don't have your own freezer where you're staying, ask the proprietor to re-freeze the gel pack overnight for you.

If all else fails, I wouldn't worry too much about room-temp for the duration, assuming bac water and always proper alcohol-swabbing of all involved vials

PS if by airplane: I've read advice to keep vials upright so that cabin pressurization doesn't cause them to overflow. I've never heard of that actually happening, and I don't know what the solution would be for a pen.

I've traveled with a weekly dose, no big deal. I wouldn't over-think it. But, and I don't know shit about pens, but, I wouldn't bring anymore product with you than you can afford to loose. Just in case a bag gets lost. It's no big deal to be a day late or early on your dose. It's mostly a mental thing. I know. I've had to go eight days. Didn't like it, but such is life.

@Calm Logic just posted a chart showing 3 days room temp may be ok and by day 4 and 5 bacteria grows exponentially. Idk if that was just the tesa or would cover most peptides. A skipped dose and or early dose isnt the end of the world or keep it in a ziplock on top of a bag of ice. Unless youre with Delta Force goin after the Ayitollah, then no ice or electricity till after mission.

The actual guidance from Lilly is 21 days at room temperature. I had an international work trip last year and took a couple of Lilly vials that I brought to room temperature and it was fine.



I don't see how grey tirzepatide is any different that compounded tirzepatide and I think that the guidance from most compounders is to follow what Lilly recommends for storage conditions.

This flyer from a compounder (a very popular one in that community) suggests that their tirzepatide is room temperature stable for 60 days. I think that that is pushing it. I honestly don't see how grey is any different than compounded tirzepatide. Actually when I was purchasing that, I was thinking that that is probably what most 503a pharmacies are doing. Getting lyophilized vials and reconstituting. They certainly aren't manufacturing from API. Hopefully the 503a pharmacies are sourcing from FDA approved sources and not paying with crypto. But who knows....

We were away for a month. When I packed the peps, I grabbed a second vial of the wrong item. Ended up not pinning the last week. My pin day was Wednesday. When I got back, on the Friday, Friday became my pin day. LOL

I'm not sure the name brand even uses bac for single-use vials and pens. Which I think are the only choices in the US (global markets have multi-draw pens).

It might be of interest to note room-temperature advice differences between name-brand single-use and name-brand multi-dose.

As I understand it, single use vials do not have preservatives. It ships in refrigerated coolers, next day delivery.
