No offense, but I didn't read that because I don't care. I'll stick with my old fashion way. How much "inventory" do you have?
This thread is about how people are organising their peps. Why are you here if you don't want to read what others have to say on the topic?

So, nobody can give you an opinion? You come across as one of those I know everything people. Something is wrong with you I think. You just made the ignore list, so I won't see your knowledgeable You'll probably criticize this attachment.

Lately I’ve come across a few posts about people using label systems to organize their peptides, and honestly it looks pretty interesting and surprisingly common here.

I was wondering for those of you using labels or label printers for this kind of thing, have you run into any issues with them over time?

Like:

Do the labels stay on well in the fridge?

Do they ever fall off or fade?

Any setups that worked especially well (or didn’t)?

Would love to hear how people are doing it 👍
I have a little Nelko printer. Not as fancy as the Niimbot labels, but it was less than $10 on Amazon, they are readable and stick, so I’m happy. I’ve used it about a year. If Ihad a regular printer I’d probably have bought labels like the poster above me.

Oh…it’s an obsession. For storage. Hydrapeaks and similar thermos with inserts. Can hold at least 50 vials in a large one. As for labeling. I have a niimbot d11h, Niimbot d110, niimbot m2 and a decent canon laser printer if I need to print labels in bulk. Still prefer to use my niimbots though. I typically label all vials with average mass, purity, vendor and batch. I label my pens and pen carts with the recon and dose information. View attachment 29952
How is the D110? I only have an M2, but I’ve noticed a lot of people seem to own two nimbot

The d110 was my first. And second lol. Amazon always has the white ones on sale for the $17. Insane not to have one. The d11h just has a nicer shell and is noticeably faster. I use both of them for cart labels. Testing labels. Test Group participant name labels. It’s just simple and easy to use. More than enough for labeling vials. Outside of it just printing with black, I have no issue with it. It’s my little buddy. The m2 is just when I have time to sit down and make a ritual out of things. I baby the d11h. I bought it just to look at it.

Aw, man, I love that thing. I forgot I had it. Being so far in the dark corner of my basement. Along with the food I forgot about too……was a fun weekend cleaning that out once I realized I had too many hydrapeaks for the fridge upstairs. Now I just need a little mini fridge. Glass door. LED lights for all my recon and easy to use stuff! 🧡
you weren't kidding with your use of obsession huh! dang LED,glass door! you ballin out 😂

Those look like the insert trays from VaultRx…are they? I love their design, that they use less plastic and you can fit 60 in a 32oz hydrapeak!

All these epic stockpiles! I am so proud of my 2 little more-than-half-empty-hydrapeaks…seeing these massive stashes I feel sheepish! 🤣

The rectangular labels are custom from Etsy. They are beautiful—thick with a little texture, professional feeling and stick well, but their price and lead time make it impractical for even a medium stash. However, I wanted to treat my first tirz gray to a special outfit 😉 The round tops are 1” stickers cut to size (I have hundreds so I don’t want to waste them) and tomorrow I receive a 0.5” paper punch so my circles will be uniform instead of…rustic 😂

I've just been keeping the peps in the original plastic cases. I slap a m2 label with basic info strength, vendor, date...then shove em into bottom of freezer.

when I recon I make a new detailed vial label with dosage and stuff like that.

I recently picked up some pens so ive started labeling those now also.

I like the M2 but I hate their label management methodology! if I run a label through twice for multiple colors stupid niimbot doubles my used label count and I end up with blank labels that the machine will not recognize ☹️

I’m actually thinking about getting an M2 soon, so it’s really helpful to hear your experience. The label management issue you mentioned does sound a little frustrating though 😅 Hopefully niimbot can release more label colors or improve the multi-color printing options in the future, that would make things much easier!

yeah they actually are working on a better label management system. and they are coming in with new colors this summer according to the niimbot post they put up about a month ago. it was very encouraging to see niimbot reps reaching out to the users here on glp-1 forum.

it's a cool machine and super simple which is what attracted me in the first place.

I have trays from numerous vendors and as gifts from group participants. Numerous variations. Just haven’t ever bought the silicone ones.

I like these cheap soft cases I get from amazon. And I label them with a nimbot heat transfer printer.

I love seeing how everyone does their organization, high and low tech alike. Very interesting data and TONS of ideas!

I decided to snatch some ideas from @kugelblitz and @CandyCap and get the Phomeno and clear labels so I can print a QR code on the bottoms. That way I can still focus on the art and design of labels but also have all info available through HomeBox.

@kugelblitz How difficult is HomeBox for a person who is fairly computer literate but in no way an IT type? I don’t really know what self-hosted means; is that something fairly easy to learn/do? Thanks!

Selfhosting is a huge topic, and can be very complicated, but it also doesn't have to be, once you learn some basics. A selfhosted application is an application that is designed to run as a website, and accessed as a website (this forum is such an application, XenForo). Such an application is meant to run on a computer that's on 24/7, a server, and that is called hosting an application. Self-hosting just means running such an app yourself, on a computer you control.

So, how to host Homebox? The way I see it, you have few options here, in increasing order of complexity.

Pay somebody to host it for you - There are services, most notably PikaPods, that will run it for you. There's virtually nothing to do. The drawback is that it costs $2.7/month. You do start with $5 of free credit, so you can use it for a month and see if it is for you. You can also use it to inventory other things in your life, and Homebox supports multiple users, and multiple inventories, so you can split it with somebody and drive down the costs further. Homebox allows easy data export, so if you decide to switch later on when you know more, it is easy to export and setup again with all your data.

Run it on your own desktop computer - While the application is designed to run on a 24/7 server, you can force it to run on a normal desktop computer. If you go to its Github, and you download the file called homebox_Windows_x86_64.zip and unzip it, you can run it like any other Windows program. The app will be available via any browser using the URL http://localhost:7745 . This is easy free, but the drawback that you lose the instant accessibility; your desktop computer has to be on and running for the app to load on your mobile phone. You will also have an ugly URL, like http://192.168.1.10:7745 (or whatever your computer's IP is) if you want to access it from another device, and it will only work on your WiFi.

Rent a computer in the cloud to host it - Virtual Private Server, a VPS, is a virtual computer you rent from a cloud provider. It acts like a normal computer, and allows you to install and host things on it. However, only the computer is provided, you have to manage the installation and maintenance of Homebox yourself. At this point you have to learn basics of Linux, and basics of Docker. You still have to pay somebody monthly to run the computer for you.

Run it on your own server - A server doesn't have to be a powerful computer. It can be an old computer or a laptop, a tiny credit-card sized Raspberry Pi, Network Attached Storage device, even an old Android phone with some effort. In this case you have a decent amount to learn, but this is the ultimate freedom.

Few resources:

https://reddit.com/r/selfhosted is an excellent community.

A good intro video

This YouTuber does breakdown of applications.

If you're an organisation freak like me, selfhosting can be super interesting. There are other excellent and completely free apps that make imposing order on things much easier. You can manage your documents with PaperlessNGX or Papra, you can manage your cooking recipes with Tandoor, your can manage your plants with Hortusfox, your groceries and cooking supplies with Grocy, or shared household chores with HomeHub. You can find thousands more apps in this app directory.

Here's a roundup of other popular apps.

Such impressive storage! I keep mine in the labelled container in which it came from the vendor popped in a black case to keep the light out then popped in the freezer. Nothing fancy.

I have another black insulin pen

case for next vial up for recon in the fridge. It has two sections so the other is the vials I’m pinning. I write on the bottom with a sharpie any time I remove one from its freezer case. Before it moves to fridge case.

I was only researching with Reta but now ive also added Klow ( but its dark blue so there is no confusing it anyway)

I do have tirz and cagri in my freezer stack

Nice setup! Does the Sharpie writing hold up well in the freezer?

Indeed it does! Only have to be careful when cleaning your vial when using and check after each use the writing is still there. When I have an empty vial I wipe it off and throw the naked mysterious vial in the household waste so I can stay semi incognito when/if the Reta police come for me and I am discovered 🤣

😂 The Reta police part got me. Thanks for the tip

Some people need to stay in their lane.

Its always nice to stumble across a thread where peeps share the same labelling addiction as me. 😂
