Hey guys,

I've been getting lots of ads on Inst*gram for grey peps. It shows their products, without naming things ofc, and has their Wh*tsApp number. Out of curiosity I messaged one, and now I'm getting more ads.

I wonder if it's a sc@m. Should I try one of these guys? I feel more comfortable messaging a vend0r from here or the Stairway to Grey Tel*gram group than Insta.

I never imagined it would get this popular...

BTW it said I have sp@mmy content so I adjusted the words.

There is a chance you could buy something that way and actually get something , but there really is no way of knowing how likely it is. The cost of setting up a real business to sell peptides online in china is likely very low, but the cost of setting up a scam site to sell them is even smaller, and the risks are negligible, so there is a pretty good motive for lots and lots of scam sites to be set up. Chinese scammers targeting westerners are very rarely prosecuted.

The way sellers on here make money is by being around for a while and building up customer trust by actually delivering, and most importantly have real people say they got what they ordered, which is not hard to fake, but harder to fake accounts that have been around a long time and made lots of posts about different things over a long time, who then say this company is OK.

I would guess that this site would not be the first choice for setting up scam sellers, more high exposure options like tik,tok or insta, gram or face, book make more sense. Anything on here might make a few sales before being found out, but once it was discovered it would be useless. So they might make a few thousand at best. Much easier to delete comments on other platforms.

Given the low cost of entry there is a massive surplus of possible sellers to choose from and most will not end up with lots of customers, so the ones that do end up with customers want to keep them to keep the orders and money flowing in, so there is a surprisingly strong motive to be really good, reliable vendors who make very few mistakes, as a report or two of bad or mislabeled or unsafe peptides could cost them an enormous amount of income that cannot easily be built back up again. So in a lot of ways the bigger and longer lasting vendors are the ones to buy from as they have the most to lose by mistakes or ripping anyone off. Not sure how much they rake in but a single verified bad report could cost $100,000 or maybe even more a week, and it is a very profitable business model, given they do not have to pay for the biggest cost of developing the intellectual property through years of expensive research and trials.

At this point, there is zero chance I would buy from someone who multiple people I "know" well here have spoken well of. I mean, I'd have gotten friendly with people in this community anyway; there are a ton of smart, kind, curious, interesting, funny people here and that's the reason I post a lot, because it's fun and when I'm doing my nails and watching YouTube, it's a fun place to be. But I think half the point of communities like this existing is because if you get to know people, you also get to hear their experiences.

And because I "know" people here at this point, I also know how their risk tolerances compare to mine, and who I know would buy meat out of the back of a car from a guy who said it fell off a truck in the middle of July vs who I know would only buy meat from a guy who let him pet the cow before that cow's Really Bad Day.

OMG. Who would buy meat from the back of some guy's car in the middle of July?? I stop doing that by June. And I still wouldn't buy anything from some rando on Insta. Scammers are getting more creative all the time.

No. Why are you considering it? Fucking hate ads. Would never reward them.

social media ads are mostly overpriced resellers. For sure some scams too. Easier to just read some reviews here and buy direct. Well… “direct”. Most of the Chinese dealers are resellers too. Just much more reasonably priced. Wholesalers would be a better term I guess.

I've received a few good ads. One ad was 10 weeks of free group therapy during the pandemic funded by the state. But you're right, this is too fishy. I'd consider it if they shared a Telegram or Discord.

Are these actually greys or are these the 1000% markup single vial people?

Adding onto what’s been said, why even entertain questionable things like that when this website has plentiful, legit options?
They say they're in H0ng K0ng and the value is good, but I don't want to get ripped off.

I'm surprised inst@ and other platforms are allowing it.

Reddit is aggressive at shutting down subreddits that talk at all about sourcing but every other ad is for some vendor. They have to look like they are doing something about it while they count all the money.
