Hi,
I found this forum just yesterday and have been reading here (and watching some videos) since then. My BMI has mostly been between slightly overweight and slightly obese, with many fluctuations in weight over decades. While I have made many improvements in the logistics and quality of my food and eating behaviour, the urge to eat always gets me after a while. It scares and threatens me and decreases my quality of life, takes too much room.
Over the past 1-2 years, I got myself informed in a general weight loss forum about other people's experiences with the publicly available glp1-agonists - just in case. At that time I didn't officially qualify most of the time. But now I do - again. I don't know if I can ever get off them totally once I start, so I didn't want to get myself into a situation I can't get out of again without ruining myself financially. And I always like taking my health matters into my own hands. With my lifelong interest for medicine and natural sciences and some years of (veterinarian) medical education in my younger years, this is a natural for me.
That's why I am here.
But then... it seems that here in Austria costums are much more strict than in some other EU-countries, regarding anything pharmaceutical, with fines up to 4-digit-numbers of Euro.
It's a double bind. I have to contemplate whether I have the nerve for it... or what to do instead...
That's where I am at at the moment.
