Hey just looking for a bit of feed back on how to proceed.

I am looking to switch from reta to tirz just to maintain my current weight. I am on 1.75mg of Reta that i take every 4th day. Weight has been stablish for about 1 month and I was on reta for about 3 months. I am hoping to have a lower resting HR, better HRV and less anhedonia on tirz.

Looking for suggestions on how to switch over or for people to tell me tirz won't help with HR, HRV or anhedonia.

Start Tirz at 1mg for first dose

if you ok withing 24h redo a 1 mg pin

asses 24h more and do ,5mg dose

now you good at 2,5mg weekly for maintain dose and titrate slowly over time when food noise becose too noisy

Anhedonia affects plenty of people on Tirz. Here on the forum you can see people switching Tirz to Reta or Reta to Tirz hoping for improvement.

Switching has helped some, not all.

Food noise is more diminished on Tirz it seems.

You will probably be surprised at the loss of appetite. If you're not really looking to lose more weight, you might want to start on a pretty low dose, maybe 1.5mg per week. My worst side effect was heartburn, so maybe you want to line up some antacids or PPIs.

Yeah, I took both reta and tirz (Mounjaro), and I have to say that when I took a low dose of reta for one month, I experienced a higher heart rate, food noise came back, and I had GI issues even on the low dose. I switched back to tirz, and all of those issues resolved.

So should I just completely discontinue the reta and start at 1.5mg of tirz?

the food noise is another reason. at my currently dose i can manage it but i am hoping that a comparable dose of tirz will accomplish a litte more appetite suppression

Many people take both at the same time. But if you're successful at your current Reta dose, maybe you want to reduce it a bit when you start the Tirz. You'll probably have to experiment a little to see what works. But Tirz alone will be enough for you to lose weight or maintain.

It was like night and day for me. The food noise came back big time with reta, and all the cravings were back, which is what got me into this mess in the first place. I ended up scrapping the experiment since I wasn’t making any progress.

Sulfur burps was my only side effect on tirz but well worth the freedom it gave me from food

already got that on reta some of the time 🙁
I had it bad for the first few months until I started taking an acidophilus probiotic every day and it never came back.
