First KPV experiment

That's great that it works for you at once a week. I only wish. All the protocols I've seen for allergen-induced atopic dermatitis or eczema describe a 2-3 month daily cycle with 30 days off. It seems to be working for me. I'm taking KPV on top of a biologic and Clobetasol cream.

I also had another effect where I had a roundish scar on the back of right leg from a dog bite that I got when I was 12. It was raised from the skin and just kind of a lump. It just came off yesterday, 55 years later. I now have a bit of a divot that's healing in it's place. I don't know what else to ascribe it to.

Oh totally, my plethora of knee surgery scars are clearing up and getting harder to notice. Including the giant knee replacement scar. It definitely works best if I'm doing daily injections, but I wanted to take a break because I was getting crazy itching on my back, and I wasn't sure if it was the KPV or the Reta. No rash/hives/redness, just itching to the point that I have to stop at every door jamb and scratch like a bear. I'm pretty sure it's sensitive skin side effect of Reta (anhedonia), and I might go back on daily KPV. The itching has actually gotten better as I increase the Reta dose too. Tends to kick in when I approach 2mgs of concentration, so I do twice a week injections to keep it from dropping below that. If this were a pure experiment, I wouldn't be mixing peps, but not having eczema breakouts and dry flakey skin is so freaking nice....

YES! Same spot! Right between the shoulder blades where I can barely reach! So annoying! I still take cetirizine (zyrtec) every day for eczema as for years, it's been the only thing that even tried to help it. When the back itching flares up, I add hydroxyzine, which I technically have for anxiety, but is also a type 1 anti-histamine. Sometimes it works, sometimes not so much. Does make me less anxious though, lol! So it's either MAST cells dumping histamine from the Reta, or ...I just can't have nice things all at once. Not sure which.

I had itching on and off, my son the same from just reta but eventually stopped after around two months. I think it is histamine reaction. Bodies reject foreign objects being injected I suppose.

Wow. I can barely reach and my topical steroid cream does help if I can get it there. I have longish arms. I also take Zyrtec. You could get some of the cream and a backscratcher thing to apply it, if it gets intolerable. I'm going to keep going another two weeks when I cycle off KPV and I'll have my answer.

Curious to know more about what happened with the old scar... I've been looking for something to treat scars myself. I've not come across such a strong testimonial for any particular peptide before.

It's still gone, but it was more of a superficial scar as opposed to a surgical scar. I've collected a few of those over the years and they are more or less unchanged. The one on my leg where the dog bit me was where his teeth came together. It was about the size of a nickel. I just have a red mark now and the scar tissue is gone.

Not sure why I never saw this thread before! OK, so apparently we need a support group for people who have random itching between the shoulder blades. Mine hit me during the summer of 2019, when I realized I was feeling an itch there for way longer than just a simple mosquito bite could explain. It just was non stop for weeks and finally months later (Dec) I had a dermatologist look at it. She said it was just eczema (we even did a biopsy) but I'd never had it before in my life and could not find anything to support adult onset eczema like that. We eventually put it down to menopause, like everything else that goes wrong with women, and I attributed it to dry skin from depleted estrogen. I started HRT 3.5 years ago and sure enough about 3 months into it, the itching between the shoulder blades stopped (if you do the math, yes, I had daily, non stop itching there for over 4 years. It was brutal.).

But...that said, it's also why I am taking GHK-cu and KPV daily now and don;t plan to stop. At this point, anything that helps bring back any skin and hair health lost with age is staying in my wellness toolkit!

I have itching on my back, but not right between the shoulder blades. Mine is on one side a bit below a shoulder blade. I believe it is notalgia paresthetica, which is like an inflamed or pinched nerve causing it.

Funny enough, this is what I thought I had, as well. But it just didn't sit with me and the derm examined it and confirmed it was eczema (I guess from her magnifying eye thingie and the biopsy results) but I for sure thought it was NP as well.

Mine finally went away when I started dropping my dosage, going into maintenance mode. Thank God.
