I’m currently on 45 mg of Tirzepatide. I have to drug test for my new job on August 8. Dumb question, but can this drug cause false positives ? If so, I’ll stop and then start again after on August 8

It shouldn't come up on a drug test.
Even if it did .. its a legal substance. If it triggers a false positive of anything it would be the natural hormones that your body produces on its own. Long story short .. don't worry about this at all. Drug tests they give you for employment are only looking for narcotics.JAYB820 said:

What are you worried about it flagging as a false positive? Do you use other drugs and are just looking for cover?
I always find this question puzzling.
There are a couple thousand drugs listed in the USP and most tests are looking for maybe a dozen max so why does anyone think that diabetes medication would be something they're looking for? "Hey Marv, let's skip opioids on this test and instead see if this applicant is trying to get skinny because we sure can't have that!"

Even if for some weird reason it did show up (which it won't), it would be like metformin or some high blood pressure medication showing up, i.e. nobody would care.ZippityDooDah said:
Most employers are doing 12 and 14 panel tests for employment. Even a 32 panel drug test doesn’t care if you are on GLPs. Employers are looking for commonly abused drugs like marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines and opiates. The only effect Tirzepatide would possibly have on a drug test is its potential to slow down absorption of something else that was taken orally.
The only peptide I’m aware of that will create problems is Dermorphine.
