Dropped vial of reta powder

Hi all,

When opening my freezer I dropped my two boxes of vials with reta powder. Is there any chance that this has degraded them? I couldn't find any cracks in the vials themselves but, being cold, they were covered in condensation as soon as I removed them from the freezer so I couldn't see any cracks anyway.
 
no, they're fine. I'm sure they've been dropped in shipment anyway.

condensation be on the outside
 
Some of my pucks got broken up just from shipping. No worries if your vials are intact.

If you decide to use it I would def filter it.
If you filter when you don’t drop the vial, by all means filter when you do drop the vial.

If you don’t normally filter, dropping a vial is no reason to start now.

If the vial lost its vacuum from being dropped, what filled the vacuum?
 
Removal of moisture during manufacturing, still wouldn't affect the molecules if lost. So my point still stands you make no sense!

Neither does dropping the vial. Seriously, air, actually water vapor, can cause proteins to denature over time. Which is why we refrigerate after reconstituting to slow that process. And even then conventional wisdom recommends using within 28 days.

My main/acute issue is sterility is compromised if vacuum is lost from dropping.

Moisture causing hydrolysis degradation is a longer term issue. That same moisture aid microbial growth as well.

You make a good argument for filtering.

Unless one has a compromised immune system, the human machine is pretty darn efficient at fighting off wayward bacterial trespassers. Well, unless it’s that pesky flesh eating variety, of course.
