On Amazon I can buy “Reconstitution Liquid”.

It says it’s 0.9% benzyl alcohol and 99.1% deionized water. Does that sound like bacteriostatic water? The sites I’ve seen selling the bacteriostatic water aren’t listing the ingredients, and most are sold out anyways.

Legally, absolutely not. Chemically, probably not. Realistically, maybe, but more likely not.

Name brand Pfizer/Hospira is usually readily available, especially in Canada from https://www.midwiferysupplies.ca/products/bacteriostatic-water-for-injection (although they're on backorder/preorder at the moment, so "readily" is probably not the best word but there are other Canadian sellers as well).

The biggest problem with the Amazon waters is the vast majority test poorly for BA (Benzyl Alcohol) content or proper pH, and many fail TAMC/TYMC tests for microbial contamination. Here's a picture showing the results of a testing one of the Amazon waters from last fall:

There are a lot of people who follow the "I've used Amazon reconstitution solution for years and I'm still alive" philosophy, and that's great except they never seem to consider or mention what that "solution" may be doing to their peptides. The human body is strong and can fight off a lot of biological and chemical challenges, peptides not so much.

Amazon recon solution is what I used on my first couple of vials before I did more homework and realized Hospira bac water isn’t really any more expensive. I didn’t have any negative reaction but I wanted to start using the recommended stuff for a better experience (might as well do things the best way I can). I just ordered a bunch from underground supply for a decent price and fast shipping.

Thanks, I guess I will just stick with trying to find Bac Water
Do some searches here. Some Canadians have had luck with a birthing supply store for Hospira? Something like that. It's on here.

I ordered from midwiverysupplies on jan 6, still waiting.

Ive talked to some people who have been able to get them from pharmacies but they had to call quite a few to find one that would sell it to them

If anyone knows how to get hospira BAC Water in the UK please let me know. Still waiting for my order from the midwifery site

Found it locally at London Drugs. Called the closest one; they didn’t have it, but the guy told me where they had 40 in stock.

Looks like there is a stock issue in Canada right now, so I grabbed 5 30 ml bottles!
