I started Aug 6th at 1mg every 4-5 days, averaging 2-3 1mg doses per week up until yesterday when I weighed myself and realized I went from 5’11” 145-150lbs to 132lbs in just under 4 weeks. I’m also on .25 Sema once a week, lost my appetite completely starting the first day, it was mostly due to waves of nausea. I take Ondansetron (Zofran) for the nausea but I had about 4~ days of pure exhaustion which I can’t do anything for. This week I decided to pull back to .5 every 5-7 days and see if that helps with the appetite and the need to take a nap the day after injection. According to my scale BF is 24% but not sure how accurate that is. Hoping to regain appetite enough to get back to 140 lbs, don’t want to lose muscle but exhaustion makes it tough to ride the Peloton even at a low resistance.

Overall my biggest issue is exhaustion and the first week was insane heartburn but that’s better now. I will feel “hungry” once in a while but a few bites of food feels like Thanksgiving dinner. I suggest if you’re going for weight loss, stick with foods that are nutrient dense, avoid useless fats and eat small portions so your body has time to acknowledge that you’re not hungry. If you can’t do cardio get out and walk, fresh air and sunshine will keep your mood up.

If you look back through, I dropped 25lbs in the first 3 weeks, all fat according to body comp measurements. I was almost taking in as much protein as I could with minimal fats or carbs, mostly whole foods at around 1600cal/day. No real side effects to speak of at 0.5mg once per week. Even still to this day, no side effects. I will say however, when I was regularly going to the gym I felt much better throughout each day. Isn't 3mg/week kind of high for starting dosing?

3mg is a little high for a starting dose (but not crazy). I'm more concerned that they are 5'11" and ~130lbs... they don't need to loose weight, they need to workout.

I've been seeing a lot of body builders using reta to get a better cut and drop BF% rather than for weight loss due to being overweight. I'm curious if that's what their goal is.

Even assuming an extremely low and stage ready bodyfat, thats a very bad ffmi.

I think the way I worded it was confusing “averaging 2-3 1mg doses per week” meaning 1mg, but spaced 3-5 days apart or so.

Regarding exercise, I spend at least 45 minutes a day on the Peloton and do weight training 3+ days per week. The weight drop was not intentional, hence why I am now at 1mg per week and will lower it if I still have issues with food aversion and nausea. I am not interested in losing any weight at all, I heard about Reta from the Longivity community, more interested in the affects on brain/gut health.

Attached is my current Reta level, I’m going to decrease until I find a sweet spot and dose accordingly.

I'm no expert, but for your goal I'd think 0.5mg/7 days would probably be a better starting point for what you're trying to accomplish. Reta is pretty potent stuff. I really haven't experienced any food aversion or nausea, just a general lack of overall hunger. I still experience triggers for needing food, but way less strong than pre reta. I cam also throw food down HEAVY if I am not mindful of it. During my cheat weekend on the 4th, I absolutely devoured half a little caesars pizza in no time because it was convenient and accessible, and I wasnt actively caring about a defecit.

What is that graph/tracker? I'm assuming it considers half life and averages out what you'd expect to still be in your system?

The chart is Shotsy, I use it for the GLP’s so I can track on the go. I created a tracking chart for the various other peptides I’m on with Excel and PowerBI. I’m on Humanin and Epitalon, both work synergistically with the Sema and Reta so I’m curious if that is partly why I felt the effects on day one even with .2 Sema.

Thanks for the advice on dosing. I have an order arriving today and as soon as I get the endotoxin report back I’ll get a vial filtered and split so I can measure out for .5mg doses. 🙂

Week fifteen:

Solid progress again this week! Down another 3lbs, and I'm feeling really good. There were a couple days this week that I could barely hit 1000cal, I just truly had zero interest in food. But aside from those, averaged 1700cal. Still not side effects to speak of, other than occasional, very mild heart burn. I still haven't restarted my KLOW, CJC/IPA cycles yet, will continue those on Friday after 3 weeks off.

I did finally notice very minimal lean lass loss at 1lb. I haven't verified with Samsung app yet, but 1lb of muscle to 42lbs of fat is a great ratio to me. I have still been putting off the gym due to work stuff, but this motivates me to return. Luckily, I do pretty strenuous manual labor so I'm not fully dormant.

I am fast approaching another milestone, my lowest recorded weight in Samsung was 256.5 in June of 2021. That was reached with a calorie defecit and gym time alone, but that was 20lbs lost in 10 months. My current progress makes that look so minimal, but I was (and still am) so proud of doing that back then.
You're doing great man, I hope you're taking lots of before photos. This time next year you'll really get a kick out of comparing.

I actually take progress photos weekly on injection days, starting week 6. I didn't think about it before then. Front view, side view, left and right side of face, and scalp. I wanted real tangible evidence of the weight loss, the effect of KLOW on hair and skin, and the effect of MT2 in general. Comparing week 6 to week 15 has pretty noticeable differences.

Yea, I like it. I'm gonna start a photo journal like I've been keeping a written record of my doses and my weight. Why didn't I think of that??? At my age it gets harder to get multiple brain cells working all at once. ThanX

Forgot to post last week and forgot to screenshot the weigh in. Been crazy busy with work

Week sixteen:

Hit another milestone! Lowest recorded weight in the history of my app, came in at 254.0, officially my lowest weight in probably close to 15 years if not longer.

Week seventeen:

Reached another major milestone! Below 250 and a total loss of 50.4lbs. I am seeing a loss of lean mass now, still minimal however. I have returned to the gym a few times and will become more consistent coming up. At this rate I am on track of reaching my goal and should hit 220 by New Years.

For comparison, here is my BF loss per month last year on my scale. I'm currently 10.4%BF by Dexa and my scale read low in the beginning and is high now. So I actually lost ~0.8 more per month than the scale shows.

Are you saying my BF% is likely lower than the scale is saying? The scale shows 33.5% where my Galaxy watch shows 36.2%. I know they are not going to be super accurate to the real percent, but I can at least see the trend.

No, there is no way to know which way your scale is off for you. My wife's dexa started dead on with the scale and my bf was 8% over the scale. But the trend is important.

The thing about body comp percentages is that they are all relative to each other. especially water. If your hydration isn't very consistent the percentages change accordingly. I have seen wild jumps and drops in bfp, just because my hydration was higher or lower at that moment..
