BREAKING: The drug semaglutide, made by 🇩🇰 Denmark's Novo Nordisk, is found to cut risk of heart attacks and strokes by 20%, possibly making it one of first drugs to have effect of both reducing cardiovascular events and helping with weight loss.

I saw this as well. Very exciting news. Continues to be a wonder drug. Almost like a magic pill....

I suspect we are only beginning to scratch the surface of potential long-term benefits from these meds. Of course there's always the possibility we'll find out that they cause people to grow an extra toe or makes their dick fall off. 🤪

But the reverse would be OK.

I'll gladly sacrifice a toe! 😆

Seriously now, prescribed and insured Wegovy in the beginning changed to reconstitued Semaglutide when I lost group insurance coverage.

Ten months of this therapy plus daily walking restored my diagnostic blood tests to "Perfect" as per my MD.

Cholesterol down from 220 to 125, Testosterone now up to 700, and my life-long "fatty liver infiltration" disappeared and is no longer visible on Ultrasound. The protective cardiac benefit and reduced instance of stroke reduction are just beautiful cherries on the top.

After having slowly lost 18.7% of my body weight, I stalled on Semaglutide.

Recently I began titrating Tirzepatide with the hope of losing another 8%.

Wish me luck 🙂

Lol, an extra dick might warrant a new genre of porn. I'd be ok with losing a toe too!

But the other stuff you mentioned.. that's awesome! Congrats on those improvements!!! I hope the switch to tirz proves effective.

I have the same strategy planned.. Sema until I plateau, then tirz.

I'm looking forward to getting started with my research!
