So I'm transferring some Sol to my Exodus wallet this morning. It stops me and started asking questions like "What are you doing w/ crypto" "Why are you sending it to another wallet". When they had a list of reasons to choose from I chose "other" and each time they wanted an explanation. I finally worked my way thru it w/ out giving them anything and made the transfer.

What do you think this was all about? If it's a sales tactic to use their wallet it's a piss poor way to do it.

This is why you should NEVER keep your crypto in a wallet you don't control.

Screw these guys.

Most likely it's just customer research. They are probably investigating how to increase their share of your wallet on their platform as that's a metric of success for the business. You can always just lie to them, it's not like they are some enforcement entity.

They did the same to me. Annoying as f—k. But what can you do? You have no choice but to go through their process. I got it resolved eventually though.
