Have you checked the accuracy of them?
Just with water and I only did 3 tests 10/20/30u. Seemed good. They do have a medical device listing which is nice compared to some of the other stuff out there. It made my mom feel better at least 😆

Good deal I’ll check these out thanks

I almost want to take one a part to look at the guts.
Someone on Peppys took a few apart to compare, you might want to check it out. I think they were the Convipen, and Gensu2.

They sacrificed a ConviPen and Gansulin. Same exact internals!

Hello,

I will be traveling in a few months and will be out for about 5 days. I considered just skipping the research for those days but I think it’s too long of a span. I have always used normal syringes but I came across someone mentioning peptidecritic.com and saw they have disposable pens v1.2 and v2 for a reasonable price. I’d like to try the disposable before pulling the trigger on reusable pens.

Is it safer to travel with research stuff in a pen vs vials that may have labels on them and syringes or should I stay away from taking them with me on the plane?

Are the needle tips standard where if I buy a larger pack of tips I can use the same tips on a reusable pen later on?

Has anyone had any experience with the disposable ones from peptide critic mentioned above?

Thank you!

1. Can print out a label to make it look like you're traveling with Insulin. I don't think I've seen anyone have any issues traveling with peps inside of a pen from the numerous hours I've spent reading Peppy's, this forum, and various telegram chats.

2. Yep. Underground Supply has needle sampling packets I would recommend checking out. I thought I'd be a fan of EasyTouch or BD Fine needles but ended up with EasyDrips.

3. No experience with those but I'm a big fan of autoinjector pens. I've used both ConviPen and GensuPen2's and they were both accurate. ConviPens have great build quality and feel solid.

Cool, thanks. I may splurge for a Savvio one of these days, but I always have to play around with which vendor has what accessories that I need so I can build an order for free shipping (right now I'm on the hunt for carts since Injection Shop doesn't sell them and I'm getting other stuff from them today) so if I can get sterile carts and the pen at the same time, bonus!
I recently spent way too much with Goodies Supplies. They sell a good assortment of pens, carts, needles. Ended up buying a Savvio with 0 need for one. Shopping cart was already up there in price so thought I might as well 🤣

Another manual pen option that I'm liking are the Nest pens; picked up 3 for $23 per. Comes with a nice little case and even normal QA stuff and a manual.

Toad's Pens

toadspens.com
Interesting. They do have what I need and the prices are incredibly good. I haven't heard about toadspens before, so do we all just assume a lot of these small, DIY sites are selling solid product or are they just buying from AliExpress and adding a little upcharge? I'm really tempted to get that Nest pen and also a bunch of carts - but those cart prices are so affordable it sets off my spidey sense! 😅

You can buy the carts for half that on aliexpress. $42/100 with free shipping.

I'm sure they are just reselling china or in daro's case I think he gets stuff from down south.

Pretty sure I found Toad's from quallÑ–gator.

I'm new to the pen space , I just finished my first cart of cjc/ipa with the nest and am about 1/2 way through a Ghk/KPV cart with a convipen.

Convipen and some carts from Daropens and the Nest , more carts and a case of pen needles from Toads.

Definitely would recommend checking a few different sources. I think the reusables are similar price and worth it over disposable.

Q1, IMO would be easier to travel with, x pens, 5 * x pens in needles that are smaller than dice each. Looks like your Q2 was answered. Q3 I have peptidecritic’s v3.5, quality is okay but not even close to the Savvio I got nearly same price. Would highly recommend a name brand (Savvio) or auto-injector.
I pulled the trigger on a few Savvio pens! I came across people using spacers on pens so I ordered a 5 pack as well (they were like $2). Are those even needed on a Savvio or are the pens good enough that they will get every drop out of the cartridge?

No pen will get every last drop out of the cartridge. There is a pen tax.

Some people will pull the last couple of units out with an insulin syringe. I've done it before, but I'm not sure it's worth the time.

But the spacer will get most of it out right and they shouldn’t affect the accuracy of the pen?

Correct. I don't have personal experience with the need for spacers on Savvios, but it won't hurt, and it won't affect the accuracy.

Perfect! thank you!

I’ve traveled with both. I was out of the country for 2 weeks. TSA does not care about peptides.

I carried an insulin case with TSA approved ice packs. No problem. It comes down to what you want.

Pens are convenient, used the V2 no problem. Especially during travel. Pull the trigger.

When I’m in doubt professor YouTube is always there to help as well!

Yea I’m definitely going to take the pens. I decided to go with some Savvio pens. Received them yesterday. Got some syringes to go through first then I’ll switch over.

The stuck last drops are due to the shape of the cartridge rounding at the end of the top. As far as I know spacers are only needed for Novo pens bc that brand is made for specific Novo Nordisk insulin carts.

I’f I’m wrong here someone pls reply so I know!

You’re correct. Spacers wouldn’t help on my V2 pens… it’s about 10 units of dead space due to the shape. I just use an insulin syringe and aspirate out the last drops.

Also for the OP… I have been out of the country twice with 4-6 pens each time in a TSA approved cooling case with ice packs. They didn’t even ask to see at TSA or the countries I was in.

I just got a gansulin pen from good life. First time using a pen. Loaded it up. Adjusted to the right dosage, inserted and counted to 10 but there still seems to be several drops that come out after I remove. Am I doing something wrong?

I used to get that too, if I pulled the needle out before the pressure equalized.

Now I pinch my skin to be sure I'm not going IM, insert the needle, depress. When I'm convinced it's done injecting, I count to 10, releasing the pinched skin as I do, then withdraw. Basically relieve pressure on the injection site before removing the needle.

Doing it this way I typically get only the tiniest drop hanging from the needle when done.

Let me know how you like them I’ve never used a pen but just bought a savvio last week. Any things you didn’t expect or did not like?
