I dunno... The meticulous injection preparation should extend to the coiffed hair... I was kinda hoping for something like this:

I got my sister and BIL started on Tirz. I reconstituted the vial and added the number of units to the label of the vial for both 2.5mg and 5mg doses. The next vial I will ask her to do the reconstitution and watch her do it. This way for the next round maybe she can handle it herself and eventually not have to make the 2 hour round-trip drive to my house every 4-6 weeks. She's an ER nurse so I am thinking she should be able to handle it.
So funnily enough I had to do it for a friend of mine who’s a nurse practitioner….. I failed math.

Like girl it’s not that hard. Yes someone in the medical field who should have a background in this stuff should be able to do it just fine….

Oh wow, I totally get it. Trying to help someone out, especially remotely, can be so tricky. That dose mix up sounds rough.

I’m glad he had something for the nausea. It’s such a good reminder that just because we’ve done it ourselves doesn’t mean we’re ready to guide someone else. Definitely a lesson learned. You're doing your best, and that still matters.

I'm really glad he ended up okay and had anti-nausea meds on hand. Starting off with 2.5 mg right out the gate is rough, especially if his body wasn’t used to it at all. I’ve been on sema for a few months and even gradually moving up had me feeling pretty off some weeks.
