In order- Luxura, the “Mrs Goodlife” pastel pens sold by Goody’s (it’s a generic but good pen), Convipen/Gansulin, Savvio, Yifan, bird pen/gensupen, Novopen 4, Ergo, V4, V2 and very last is Allstar because it popped apart on me mid pin; happened to someone else I know as well. Many people love Novos but I just don’t care for it- but it works well. They all work well for me aside from the Allstar, I just like the “feel” of my favorites.

I have many more pens than I need, but I acknowledge it’s a collection as well as a need. I’ve gotten better- I was hell bent to get the elusive pink and green Savvios, but gave up when it became apparent they would be over $100 each. I’m not that addicted.
would you be willing to review my cart? first foray into pens. I already have filters. does this order look ok to get me started? can I use these pens to hit glutes?

I got one of those cute cart holders with the cylinder in the middle for pushing the cart plugs in from allthingspeptides
I was just about to buy this, but then I found this cool (albeit more basic) cartridge holder with plunger .STL file on Thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7164951 I had ChatGPT modify it to hold two 3ml vials and 2 cartridges, & I’m going to have my local library print it for free 😁 @bay_area_schizo If you’re unsure, maybe this will help since most public libraries print for free?

Saved a little cash, and now about to spend cash on pens and needles and cartridges! I really appreciate all the info everyone gave. I’m less intimidated by pens now and am going to give a Mrs. Goodlife pen a try.

what do you think about this cart holder? add value or unnecessary?
Well it make it easier to put the pep into the cartridge the center. Part also helps u push and take out the extra air inside.

Does it work? Yes. convenient ? Yes. Can you do still do it without the stand, still yes. So its really up to you.

As for me i chose convenience and ease.

I have considered switching to a pen, but... I find that I can use a small gauge and apply slight pressure to find and avoid sensitive spots before piercing. This makes pinning very pain free. This would not work with pens. I know, I hate needles.
I may not be understanding your post. Why wouldnt you be able to do that with pens? Mine let me find a good spot just like insulin needles do.

Thank you everyone for all the great info. I havent been filtering. Where should i buy the filters?
I hear Biogenix has good ones for a decent price. Haven't used them myself yet though. Just make sure you get individually wrapped ones and the manufacturer states the method they use to sterilize them. You dont want your filter introducing contaminants rather than filtering them.

And make sure the filters are hydrophilic, not hydrophobic.

Does anyone own a Goodies V2 and V4 pen? I'm looking for feedback on a preference. I like the deal for the 3 x V4's for $38 but want some real life testimonials before I pull the trigger. Anyone own both or own at least own one of the 2 and you love it?

I have V4s, not from Goodies. I love mine. I started w/V2s, they were fine for me but some say they are inaccurate. Mine tested accurate, but I have 4 or 5 so not a huge sample.

Seems like V4s are kinda the best of both worlds before you get into the sweet ass autoinjectors!

Did you just get the easy touch pen needles and 3ml cartridges on theit website as well? About to pull the trigger on the V4 combo.
I have several brands of pen needles at this point - bought the Gluco 4mm for my non irritating shots and have both easy touch and gluco 8mm for my more spicy pins (GHK, NAD, MOTS). I don't think brand matters much. The pen part is what I notice the most, less effort (V4) really helps me not move the pen around much which seems to happen with the V1.

What makes the Luxura your favorite? I've got a std v1, but may consider pi king one of these up as well
