Can someone explain how reta feels compared to tirz?

Tirz made all of the food I ate taste wrong. Nothing was good anymore. I’ve never dealt with food noise and I’m not hungry on either drug. Terrible fatigue with Tirz, both cause me severe constipation. But on Reta my coffee is tasty again and I’m not exhausted all the time. I lost weight faster on Tirz but I’m titrating slow and am about to take my second dose of 8 mg Reta. Plus this is my first stall, so I’m trying to be patient. I didn’t have heart rate issues, but my resting heart rate is 56. It went up to 62 when I first started Reta but I’m back to 56-58. So not everyone gets the increased heart rate. I kind of wish I could have stayed on Tirz to lose faster, then use Reta for maintenance- but the thought of dealing with that awful fatigue again is enough to make me say no.

I was on TIrz a year, then Sema for 4 months now Reta for little over two months. My first two months I was STARVING and gain around 5lbs. But I noticed right away I had tons of energy and I felt more productive. ( I think I became more positive and nicer too) I just finished my second week of 6mg and I’m starting to finally notice appetite suppression but not the same with TIrz. With Triz I lost all the joy in food (and joy of everything else around me) now I eat and a few bites in I look at the food and want to grow it away. It’s hard to explain but my mind feels better on Reta. I’ve also lost 8lbs since moving to 6mg. Reta kind of gave me “hope” back

Yes, reta will kill you, very bad for your heart, just KABOOM!! Many people are saying it, hey do you have any of that poison you need to get rid of? I might be able to help you out.

The clinical trials show at least 8mg as most effective dose for most patients.
I’m on 8mg. Titrated from 4, 6 and now 8. It’s been the most effective for me so far.

Absolutely no suppression from 2mg or 4mg Reta. I was on 7.5mg Tirz then decided to stack with reta as a last push for the last 15lbs.

Idk what or how Reta does it, but those last 15lbs FELL OFF. I was dosing Tirz every 5 days, reta 2 days after Tirz.

I think if you don't struggle with overthinking about food, reta might be a solid single choice for you. But if you do, it's a good option to stack with a good suppression.

If your looking for something different then Tirz, Survo is a great place to start too
What was your reta dose 2 days after tirz? 2 or 4mg?

I'm on tirz, I like it, I'm not thinking of switching. But I keep seeing that reta has better clinical trial results, and has a third mechanism of action. But I also see people say it doesn't have great appetite suppression compared to tirz or sema.

If it's not suppressing appetite, what is it doing to make you eat less and lose weight? How does it feel? Especially compared to tirz if you've tried both
I can only give you my own experience; I make no assurance to that it generalizes to folks in general. Tirzepatide caused me to get constipated, although it passed after a few months. Tirzepatide causes me to feel fatigued. In contrast, reta is energizing and causes diarrhea. Considering that the side effects I mentioned from each offset each other somewhat, I'm currently taking both, about 3 mg per week of reta and 4 mg per week of tirzepatide (a reduction from a larger dose). Oddly reta seems less effective for weight loss for me than tirzepatide was. I guess that because when I dropped my tirzepatide but replaced the amount of tirz I was taking with reta, I gained weight. There is one more side effect to mention; gastrointestinal symptoms seem to be worse on reta than tirzepatide.
