My wife has been exhibiting some signs of early dementia in the past couple of years. She has been treating with a neurologist/functional medicine doc who trained under Bredeson. I inquired on our last visit about Cerebrolysin and peptide treatments, and he was basically clueless about it. I found this to be quite odd given how prevalent the therapeutic usage of cerebrolysin is worldwide (outside the United States) To the best of my knowledge, Bredeson has not incorporated any peptide therapies in his updated protocol.
Your original proposal is now 3 months old. Do you pursue the cerebro? I still have questions about the Chinese 60 mg vials of lyophilized powder. I do not personally believe they are porcine protein. I think they’re lab synthesized variants, although I’ve been challenged on that by folks who claim to have COA’s showing same lab results as the original drug. To get true cerebroprotein hydrolysate (brand name Cerebrolysin), you need to order Cerebrolysin manufactured in Russia under license from EverPharm (Austrian company that originally produced it), or cerebroprotein hydrolysate from China or India. All of these truly come from baby pigs’ brains and come as a liquid in 5 or 10 ml amber or clear glass ampoules. The concentration ranges from 215 to 286 mg/ml. Therapeutic doses range from 5 ml given IM to 50+ ml IV (diluted in saline) over a period of days and weeks. So you’re getting at least 1075 mg MINIMUM in the lowest dose. To be clear, you would need to inject 18 vials of 60 mg of powder to get the equivalent of one lowest dose of true Cerebrolysin.
I’ve run one course so far of cerebroprotein hydrolysate - 20 x 5 ml ampoules of Altra Pure, tested at 286 mg/ml. This was over the course of 10 days, two 5 ml ampoules per day. Amazing stuff. After three or four days, I felt much more focused and lost the annoying feeling of momentary forgetfulness - “What the heck did I come into this room for?” This renewed clarity persists one month later.
I’ll be running another course next month.
