Down 400lbs or 1/3 my former self. Male - mid fifties.

Best: Still being alive #1.

Actually being the thinnest guy in the room, a couple of times.

Buying 30 inch jeans and a large shirt, compared to 58 inch and 7X.

Never being Diabetic.

Worst: The Orthopedic destruction of my body, after 13 operations it's getting old. I got 2 more likely in the next year and 1/2 likely. I spend up to 1/2 my year in physical therapy + at home, working up towards the next the next surgery. I haven't even got to the neck and back yet. I absolutely hate taking this amount of medication on a daily basis, just to function. luckily peptides do help calm the waters.
I am so sorry to hear about the destruction. It sounds like a long road. Best of luck to you and your rehab.

"Actually being the thinnest guy in the room" resonates--people call me tiny now. Trust me, I am not tiny, but relative to where I was, I can see why they would perceive it that way. My worst was a real surprise--apparently my weight was supporting my organs, so now I need some muscles repaired. When I first started noticing the problem, I actually thought it was side effect from the Sema.

I can walk down stairs like a normal human. Instead of easing down backwards.

I can cross my legs like a normal human.

Put on socks like a normal human. (If I whore socks)
The leg crossing thing!! It has become habit now--they had to remind me to uncross them when they took my blood pressure.

Oh man, I was thinking of getting a massage soon, and I didn't think about this! I don't think I've had a massage since I lost weight and now I'm worried it won't be worth it.
Personally, I love deep tissue massages. For me, the weight loss made them even better, because the therapist can really get into the muscles.

Thank you, appreciate it.

It"s funny how people say you look too

thin, but you're right it's relative to where you were. I'm struggling to get this post surgery weight off, but I understand the I need to lose 10-20lb comments now fro0m other people. I used to think in the 100's of lbs and felt people couldn't relate.

Muscle tightening, maybe an Umbilical Hernia repair isn't uncommon either. Wish you luck.

Well now I have to get a massage, for science! I'm hoping that will be my experience too 😆
