帮助睡眠

Wish I could help, but it's the worst side effect for me. I maybe average 4hrs a night, if I'm lucky. Been taking it since 1/7/26.

I added Tesamorelin to my stack (waiting for it to arrive) as I hear that also can help with sleep.

Hello

I’ve been running retatrutide for 5 weeks now.

Dose has been conservative: 1 mg once weekly, and I haven’t increased it.

Results-wise, it’s doing exactly what the math says it should.

I’m down 5.5 lbs, which lines up almost perfectly with my balanced diet~500 calorie/day deficit. Appetite control has been excellent, cravings are muted, and adherence has been easy. From a fat-loss standpoint, reta has been fantastic.

The downside: sleep.

Over the last few weeks, my sleep has progressively worsened. I’m consistently waking up around 1–2am and struggling (or failing) to get back to sleep. It feels stimulatory, almost like my nervous system won’t fully power down. The trend is clear enough that I can’t ignore it anymore.

So while the fat loss is steady and predictable, sleep quality matters more. Poor sleep is taking a toll. If I can’t solve this, I may have to pull retatrutide despite how effective it’s been.

I’m curious if others have run into the same issue on reta and what actually helped.
In case your sleep issue is low-glucose related, try a cup of greek yogurt just before you go to bed. That may help keep glucose more stable. Another option may be to try one of the extended release carb bars, like Extend, that some diabetics use to keep from going hypo. Both suggestions might buy you time. You may not make it to 6 or 7 am, but if you can sleep till 5, instead of waking up at 2, that is something.

What is your dosing protocol? Sleep improvement over time or noticeable change in the short term? Thanks.

I am following the mitochondria protocol. I got improved sleep in the first week just taking 25mg of NAD+ I am currently at the end of week 3.

Funny you say that, I just finshed my last shot Ipamorelin yesterday. I never see any better sleep with it, even paired with CJC-1295 no dac for a while no better. Already tried Tesamorelin as well, did get the water Retention thing too. I got some Sermorelin I reconstituted and was gonna try it today. I actually got the Ipamorelin, cause it help with my Headaches.
Have you had a chance to try Sermorelin and did it have any impact on your sleep? 🤞

What dose of Reta are you on now and where did you start?

I'm at 4mg weekly of Reta right now with horrible insomnia as well. I just increased my dose from 2.5mg to 4mg a couple of days ago, but I've been fighting sleep issues since starting Reta. I wake up every few hours feeling pretty refreshed, but the last wake up I feel like I didn't sleep at all. No change in sleep with the dosage increase.

Two days ago I started KLOW 80. I'm dosing: 7.5un (0.075ml) which is: 250mcg TB500, 250mcg BPC-157, 250mcg KPV, 1.25mg GHK-CU. I take this every morning right now and am planning to run a titrated 8-12 week cycle if I continue to notice improvement. I started KLOW for several reasons: autoimmune issues RA/SPS, a nagging hip injury, and trying to maintain skin elasticity during my weight loss.

I'm getting a small increase in sleep quality, (maybe an extra hour or so) but still chasing a full night sleep. I'm considering adding DSIP to see if it helps.

I never thought I'd get to the point where I'm comfortable pinning myself daily and/or considering twice daily, but here I am deep diving DSIP at midnight.

Depends how you sleep before I think

I normally sleep like the dead ( very strict sleep hygiene and largely caffeine free 😱) better than anyone I know. I am someone who needs her 8 hours and I notice the cognitive differences when I don’t have that.

Been on Reta now 5 months and alas still have the Reta sleep disturbance. Wake between one and three am and spend about an hour trying to get back to sleep. before reaching for injectables and pills…. Perhaps experiment with..,,,

Good sleep routine. Use a meditation app. Write down what’s on your mind. Trick your body to relax and go back to sleep. It’s annoying but the benefits of Reta outweigh the annoying side effects ( for me).

Creatine has been shown in good quality studies to help mitigate against cognitive deficits resulting from poor sleep. So might be worth considering for its many health benefits ( though it is said to pull water weight) but it won’t help you not wake up 😔

Your sugar might be dipping too low at might. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but try incorporating some sort of snack closer to bed that might keep your blood sugar more even throughout the night.

My spouse was fighting the exact same issue and it only got worse during GLP research, We ran every bit of data we had through several deep research AIs. Bloodwork, sleep trackers, smart scale, doc notes, supplements, sleep log notes, and her typical diet and sleep for the week. They all came to exactly what @Retazempic is suggesting. She tried the bedtime snack for two weeks and found she was getting much more consistent sleep.

For a little more detail as to the why and what, here is a snippet of the AI explanation:

A lot of people who wake up like clockwork between about 2–4 AM are actually running into a fuel problem, not an anxiety or “mind racing” problem.

When you sleep, your brain is still burning a lot of energy, mostly from blood sugar. Early in the night your liver has enough stored sugar (glycogen) to keep things steady. But toward the middle of the night, especially if:

• You’re eating light or low‑carb

• You’re on a GLP‑1 drug like Ozempic/Wegovy

• You’re smaller/leaner or in a caloric deficit

…your liver can start to run low on stored sugar.

Your body sees that as a mini fuel crisis. To fix it, it releases two key hormones:

• Cortisol – raises blood sugar by telling the liver to release more glucose

• Adrenaline – gives a quick “kick” to mobilize energy and keep blood pressure up

In this situation, cortisol and adrenaline aren’t there to make you anxious; they’re just trying to keep your brain fueled. But both hormones also wake the brain up.

So the chain looks like this:

1. Blood sugar drifts a bit low in the middle of the night.

2. Body releases cortisol and a shot of adrenaline to push sugar back up.

3. You naturally hit a lighter stage of sleep (we cycle every ~90 minutes).

4. That cortisol + adrenaline bump is just enough to flip you fully awake.

You may not feel full‑blown panic, but because adrenaline is involved you might notice things like:

• Feeling suddenly wide awake

• Slightly elevated heart rate or a sense of “wired but tired”

• Difficulty drifting back off even though you were sleepy before

That’s why things like:

• A small protein + fat snack before bed (e.g., Greek yogurt + nuts)

• Avoiding big sugar spikes right before bed

• Not over‑restricting calories in the evening

can sometimes reduce those 2–4 AM wake‑ups. You’re basically giving your body a steadier fuel supply so it doesn’t need to hit the cortisol + adrenaline alarm in the middle of the night.

I've definitely noticed a drop from 7-7.5 hours avg sleep per night to about 6. I have a CPAP machine for sleep apnea so the machine tracks all my data. Although, I have gotten into the habit of of removing my mask and still sleeping deeply since I started Reta. GLP's are also being studied for treating sleep apnea so this tracks with those theories. I've gone from 203 to 190 so its not like I was obese. I probably only want to lose 10 more lbs. So if that small of a drop in weight could eliminate my apnea also, I will be thrilled.

I started Reta early January and noticed the sleep issues almost right away. I started very low with .25 twice a week hoping to avoid sides as not sleeping wrecks me and I had sleeping issues prior. After deep diving through here, Reddit and anything AI could feed me about sleep on Reta, I’ve tried it. Tart cherry pills, slow release melatonin, magnesium l-threonate, glycine, taurine, sleep blends from reseller sites, berberine, tablespoon of honey before bed… Nothing worked.

While I was researching I was also looking into peptides for sleep. The ones that peaked my interest were DSIP, Epitalon and Pinealon. Long story short Epitalon is the winner, hands down. My first day talking it I slept and I’ve slept every night since. NA Epitalon 20mg reconned with 2ml bac water and just took 4 units in the morning when waking. I’m up to 1mg twice a week of Reta and no issues sleeping. I honestly can’t believe it. I know everybody responds differently to peps but I wanted to share what worked for me.

I was giving Gabapentin to my dog for sleep, arthritis, pain. Tried it for myself and totally helped sleep. 100 mg 1 hr before bed gives me 6-7 hrs with good dreams. I used to take it after back surgery so my NP had no problem ordering it. I think Tirz keeps me up and energized. Woof.

I have 300mg capsules leftover from a surgery.

I'll give one a try tonight.

So far trazadone (50mg and 100 mg pills) has not helped.

1/2 pill of Vicodin (5mg/325) works but isn't sustainable.

Exhaustion after multi-crap sleeps days usually yields one good night's sleep.
