Hello

I’ve been running retatrutide for 5 weeks now.

Dose has been conservative: 1 mg once weekly, and I haven’t increased it.

Results-wise, it’s doing exactly what the math says it should.

I’m down 5.5 lbs, which lines up almost perfectly with my balanced diet~500 calorie/day deficit. Appetite control has been excellent, cravings are muted, and adherence has been easy. From a fat-loss standpoint, reta has been fantastic.

The downside: sleep.

Over the last few weeks, my sleep has progressively worsened. I’m consistently waking up around 1–2am and struggling (or failing) to get back to sleep. It feels stimulatory, almost like my nervous system won’t fully power down. The trend is clear enough that I can’t ignore it anymore.

So while the fat loss is steady and predictable, sleep quality matters more. Poor sleep is taking a toll. If I can’t solve this, I may have to pull retatrutide despite how effective it’s been.

I’m curious if others have run into the same issue on reta and what actually helped.
I've had the same experience. I'm 4 mos in now and it's gotten a little better but gets worse after a dose increase. I take cbd gummies, mag glycinate, melatonin every night just to get some sleep. But I had sleep issues before Reta too.

Your sugar might be dipping too low at might. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but try incorporating some sort of snack closer to bed that might keep your blood sugar more even throughout the night. On average, you will lose weight faster if you sleep through the night regularly

Also, the sleep issue might pass after a while

Sleep has been hit or miss with me on Reta. Somethings work sometimes, but not other times.

I’d also speak to your doctor about it. Maybe they could prescribe a continuous glucose monitor to rule out the blood sugar issue

My sleep has been affected too, almost like I have racing thoughts brain. I will say though mine isn't as severe as yours because I already take Trazodone every night (50mg) for insomnia.

I could’ve wrote Double_Js post because my situation (5 weeks, 10lbs down, 1mg Reta,etc) is a carbon copy of his/hers.

I have tried adding Glycine (always took Mag Glycinate) to bedtime ritual, staying up later/going to bed earlier, warm showers, etc but I only really sleep past 1-2am when I go to bed completely exhausted from the previous 4-5 days of shitty sleep!

Tried trazadone but I just wake up at 1am feeling dopey. I’m in it for the long haul but it’s beginning to kick my butt.

My story is the same. A couple of months in and up to 2 of Reta. Waking up at 1-2 every night. I tried all the regular remedies to no avail. Started DSIP 3 nights ago but nothing yet. I am also wearing a cgm and there are definitely dips during the night. I’m going to try a little honey before bed and see if that helps.

Thinking about getting a kit of Sermorelin with my next order. Heard it’s the mildest of the GH boosters and one of the benefits is better sleep. Almost 5am here and been on Dawn Patrol since 1:11am. Gotta find something.

Funny you say that, I just finshed my last shot Ipamorelin yesterday. I never see any better sleep with it, even paired with CJC-1295 no dac for a while no better. Already tried Tesamorelin as well, did get the water Retention thing too. I got some Sermorelin I reconstituted and was gonna try it today. I actually got the Ipamorelin, cause it help with my Headaches.

Let me know your results. Probably a couple week lag with the CNY shutdown so some time before I buy.

Supposedly Sermorelin has pretty dramatic improvement for some. Hopefully we’re in that group.

cc is cubic centimeter, a unit of volume.

mL is milliliter, a unit of volume.

1cc=1mL

Thus 10cc=10mL.

I’m guessing he meant and you assumed 10 units, but that’s not what was written.

If we're posting in this sub, chances are we're willing to try about anything. I'll see how this next week goes, I'm trying it to se if it helps with my headaches like the Ipamorelin too. I did the DSIP thing, but no improvement for me there.

It did get better for me. The first couple months my sleep sucked, especially a couple nights after pin day. I used Trazadone a few night then. I also did a cycle of Epitalon IN in month 3 which might have helped, but some found it didn't. I'm in month 5 at 10 mg and I'm sleeping well again, but everyone is different. I think it means my body finally adjusted to it.
