I upped it a lot for a while. I was getting sick if the wind blew and was trying to remedy that. I guess it worked- I haven’t been seriously sick in almost a year.
I didn't know gluta helped with that!

Finally i can reply to posts 😂 I have or I think i have hypothalamic obesity due to a pituitary tumour. I have doubled in weight since 10 years ago and ita been a nightmare to get it off. My confidence is gone and has never been on a date since then. Im on reta 8mg weekly and had little to no change.

Imcivree costs hundreds of thousands a year, and im tempting to buy it through grey market even though im afraid as hell.

What is your suggestion?
What was the reason why you did not have the pit tumor removed? Do you have Cushings? Have you had your IGF-1 tested? I do know of a great endo who is one of the best in the US that does telehealth from CA that knows alot about pit tumors. He doesn't mess around when it comes to testing. You will either know one way or the other. I paid him out of pocket but all my labs were covered. There are some decent FB groups about this as well.

Hi thanks for your reply.

I got a vp shunt a tumour was successfully removed in uk transsphenoidal (im from Malta) - 5% remaining which cannot be removed is monitored yearly. I do not have cushings and I think I am tested for IGF-1 - what does this say about my condition? Im willing to speak to your endo even via online meeting - especially if he’s open minded. My endo is a great guy but always takes 1 step back when trying new things.

I just realized you were in Malta and am not sure how it would work out. If you join some of the Cushings, Pituitary and Growth Hormone groups on FB you might be able to get a better idea if it's worth your time to make an appointment with him. Many people with pit tumors also have growth hormone deficiency. (You would need a growth hormone stimulating test such as Macrilen or glucagon plus an IGF-1 blood test) Maybe you could ask your endo/neuro doctor to take it. Many people in these groups have used Dr Friedman in Los Angeles California.

I’d say if you want to try it, go for it! It is a daily pin, so you have to get used to that. And you may tan. But I think it’s worth a try.

You also might try tirz first- I don’t lose well on Reta alone and I lose fastest on just tirz. Don’t be afraid- you join a testing group, get it tested, filter it, and titrate up slowly. It’s worth it to lose weight and feel better.
