I was on Retatrutide for about 5 months and in the beginning it was a Godsend. It took my sciatic pain away, 30 pounds melted off in literally weeks, my blood labs all got better, especially my ApoB and BUN levels. For whatever reasons I started having chronic dizziness and I could never keep up with hydration. I do not know if it was the drug's side effects catching up or endotoxins from a new bottle but even at 2mg the sides persisted.
I decided to let it wash out and give Tirz a shot. I wasn't super comfortable with the elevated heart rate thing, it wasn't that bad but until I got to 6mg but even so, I would be more comfortable after the trials wrap up and it is declared a safe side effect. I am waiting on my testing reports to come back before beginning but I have lost 80% of the weight I want to lose, I am looking to gain muscle but control food noise while keeping my insulin sensitivity good and it's more about health markers than losing weight though I have about 20 more pounds of fat to go.
Option 2 is restart Reta and remain at lower doses to avoid the heart rate increases, say 4mg max, titrating up from 1mg every 4 weeks. If the dizziness was actually endotoxins and not the medication itself then there won't be an issue. It got pretty bad though. I had my first ocular migraine ever. I was constantly dizzy. Not enough to fall but enough to feel like something is not normal. I've seen a small amount of reports of this but it doesn't seem widespread and it didn't happen to me for 5 months. That is why I am thinking endotoxins possibly.
