Why are GLPs/peptides so often sent in for testing by customers?

For the same reason why many people test the bacteriostatic water made in Columbus, Ohio and sold on Amazon - to make sure the vial contains the stated active ingredient in the amount indicated.
That's the first I've heard about this, any links to the information or discussion?

Maybe a brand name?

The bac water I was referring to is Aqua Sciences Reconstitution Solution. There was a multi vendor bac water test conducted by the PTDS test server in Sept 2025. The bac water tested was:

Harmonify Reconstitution Solution (.087% BA)

Aqua Sciences Reconstitution Solution (.116% BA)

Ocean Pharmaceutical

Lambda Water

Hospira

The first 2 products fell short of the .9% benzyl alcohol concentration shown on the label and also failed sterility testing. The other 3 products passed BA concentration and sterility tests.

I am not permitted to screenshot or share a link to the results.

Thank you, added to my 💩 list.

In the grand scheme of things, Vendor COAs have little value You don't know if the batch youre getting was from the tested batch. Often times a Vendor will submit a COA and then use a whole different source and use a different cap and call it a day. Your own submitted lab test is gold standard

Because people obsess over it, and the labs really like the money. I honestly think that some people find it fun forking out cash for testing, like it's part of the "game" of playing gray market peptides. The same folks would buy pills from IndiaMart and swallow them down no questions asked, but something about injecting tiny amounts of peptide causes people to want to throw wheelbarrows worth of cash at Jano. Bad product happens but it's exceedingly rare. When it does happen, it's usually a case of getting less than you paid for (underfill), sometimes (very rarely) nothing that you paid for(zero pep). Mixups where the wrong product gets sent out also happen very rarely. And I haven't seen a confirmed report (that I believe) of someone actually being harmed yet.

I'm not saying don't test, or that testing bad. But people get carried away in my opinion. I'm convinced that what you see here, this culture of constantly talking about testing, purity, etc.. also on Peppys, STG, and some other popular groups, is actually a very small percent of people who actually buy and inject gray market peptides. The vast majority of people (and everyone I personally know in real life who does this stuff), buy their peps and inject them without any sort of test whatsoever. And they are still alive and losing weight.
"folks would buy pills from IndiaMart and swallow them down no questions asked, but something about injecting tiny amounts" 6o's were really hard on me... Pills of all colors were easy to find and nobody tested any thing at all...Testing just wasn;t a thing... Was told of a couple who used water from a mud puddle to cook up their heroin.. Course that includes boiling fix in a spoon for what that's worth. Personally my worstest fix was using green gatorade to mix up my coke with. Seemed like a good idea at the time...

Good vendors usually have large testing groups associated with them. That's really key to getting honest results. For my primary vendor, who provides their own Jano test results, the testing group submits vials for testing and releases the results for all to see. The vendor will replace any kit that tests below the test results they provide to the group. This two-way verification goes a long way in providing reassurance that you get what you pay for and builds trust with the vendor.
