Hey all - a few years back I had thyroid cancer - had surgery to have it removed. They removed my thyroid and over 70 infected lymph nodes. The incision was from the center of my neck almost to my ear.

Since then, I have been experiencing tightness in my neck along my scar. I still don't have full feeling back since my nerves haven't fully recovered. The tightness feels like someone is pushing against my throat and the only real way to get temporary relief (very temporary) is to look up and use my hands to pull down hard on my neck. Did rehab and it didn't help.

I asked ChatGPT what the best peptide is to help and it threw back a bunch. I'm wondering if anyone has any real-world experience that would be able to chime in. Please note (VERY IMPORTANT) : I cannot use any that promote strong (or any) angiogenesis as they present a risk for new cancer growth.

Here's what I have: please share some experience if you don't mind

Good : KPV, GHK-Cu, Glutathione, SS-31, Cerebrolysin

BAD (cancer): BPC-157, TB-500, Anything IGF-1 or HGH, EPO

Thanks in advance. It's been way too much "waiting for it to get better" and now I'm really hoping to get more comfortable.

If you are worried about cancer risk with growth factors, ghk cu promotes angiogenesis also. It enhances angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation) My understanding is dr's prescribe bpc and tb to survivors of cancer once the cancer has been stopped. I have not heard of any cancer causing affects from these. I am no expert just sharing what i have read about these. Best of luck on your recovery.

Unfortunately, I still have small cancerous tumors (very small, but still there) left in my thyroid bed. They are small enough that no surgeon will touch it and there's no reason to put more radiation in my body. We are just monitoring them to make sure they don't grow. So ANYTHING that can promote them to grow larger is a no no for me. And thanks for the heads up with GHK - good to double check AI since it's clearly not always right.

I have seen AI reference answers stated in this forum so, good to question it.

I think that is above most of our pay grade. You are limited due to having active tumors or cancer. check out this site, they highlight most of the peptides with if they are

secretagogues or there actions.

What I know is that certain cytokines are inhibited (IL-6, TNF-a suppression); inflammation is lowered. It is claimed that there are '1000's of other cytokines affected', and it's possible. But we know so little about everything. TGF-b is bidirectional; in my case, TGF-b/SMAD tumourigenesis is inhibited by TIF1-y. GHK also modulates these pathways... not sure if that is a good thing. More studies would be nice, maybe a mice model or three. GHK-cu also stimulates VGF-2 and VEGF, which are pro angiogenic, meaning it leads to tumour growth.

I wouldn't inject if you have tumours. I don't even know if you should use it as a serum in the area, but I am a cautious bean. If you are on immunosuppressives, that will slow down healing. I think a peptide would be almost useless, then. Or, perhaps, it would lead to normal healing. I'm not sure. I'll do some more reading.

Why not use some scar tape (or any old occlusive dressing) instead? Gently massaging the area with a product? Read up on wound healing in plastic surgery forums. They know what to do.
