Hi, newb on the board. New(ish) to the pep world. Started researching over the summer. Learned a lot via Skool, Telegram and FB groups. My primary focus as a middle aged man who's been overweight most of his life has been body recomp, followed by general anti-aging and recovery from strenuous workouts.
Started my fitness and skincare journey nearly two years ago, blissfully unaware of the world of peptides. On the skincare front, I'm up to 12 products (yes, twelve ) every night from my pre-cleanser to my final occlusive moisturizer. Excited to be adding topical Snap-8 and GHK-Cu to that routine soon thanks to some good Black Friday sales!
On the fitness end, I started seriously working out a year ago and dropped 15% body fat, gained a lot of muscle and was in the best shape of my adult life. But started hitting a plateau despite strict diet, weightlifting 5x/week, cardio 6 x/week, pilates 1x/week, getting plenty of sleep, getting my creatine etc. Which led to me to the world peps.
I started with the US-based webstores and, yes, overpaid for my first batch. I learned about the grey world after and my wallet is much happier about my follow up buys!
My first cycle was completed earlier this fall with a CJC (non-Dac)/Ipa protocol. It definitely helped push me past this plateau and I got to my lowest body fat % yet. But, I did find that mid-cycle the progress largely stalled. I experienced both the positive sides (very deep, restful sleep) and the negative sides (joint/tendon pain and heaviness and some mild histamine reactions.)
I'm now mid-way through my second stack which consists of all of the following 7x/week...
Tesa
Ipa
5-Amino
BPC/TB-4
It's been going very well so far based upon what I'm seeing in the mirror and reading on my BodyPedia scale. SubQ fat, visceral fat are down, muscle keeps going up slowly and I'm able to keep up with a very demanding workout schedule. Thus far... zero sides.
Bonus, the BPC has had an incredible impact on reducing the severity of my IBS-D. I wasn't even taking it for gut-related issues, but I may end up being a lifer!
Looking forward to continuing to learn more and, where helpful, add my 2 cents!
