We bought a small Costco fridge. It’s the Danby model. The freezer is great. The issue is that the fridge is totally soaked with water. I’ve seen a few youtube videos on this being an issue and to not use it. We do have the hydropack containers with the silica packets but it seems this could be bad. Just not a good clinical setup for sterile peps. Anyone in the know or have worked with this set up over the years. Thank you. We haven’t put any Pepitides in it yet we are in the testing phase. And so far I’m not impressed with the extreme moisture build up.

I cant speak on that particular fridge personally, but I know I have had other mini fridges in the past that build up moisture a lot and usually its the seal on the door. Either the door isn't hung right so the seal can't seal properly or the seal itself is insufficient to seal all the way. Whenever I have had it in the past, I just bought some extra weather seal for a car and ran a strip of it around the door to make sure it seals up and that has gotten rid of the problem for me. Again, not sure if thats your issue or not. YMMV.

I don’t think it’s the seal. Basically any time you open it moist air gets in. It has no where to go. Sow it turns into condensation in the back where the coils are. I’m just wondering if using the hydropack and silica packs is ok wth all the moisture in the fridge. It holds great temps.

FAFO it. Get some cheap moisture indicators off Amazon and try it out before you potentially ruin any peps with it.

I've had several mini fridges in office locations across the years, as an IT person we used to rob them for fans when they died, which they did regularly. Routinely. I don't think they're made as a long-term item, most are built/sold with college kids or small offices in mind. No way I'd trust my stash to one.
