I've been a juvenile type 1 diabetic for 25 years now. I had a rough beginning, & was very careless up until 3 years ago when I had a traumatic injury event occur. I started taking things more seriously, got on an insulin pump and patch glucose system. I started getting results, but it was hard to change from my poor diet choices & lifestyle. I was introduced to GLP-1's with ozempic back in August 2025, I was buying from a local compound pharmacy monthly. Even though I had drastically reduced my carb intake & food styles, not much was changing. I had gained almost 80 pounds in the past 3 years from my injury, & was feeling like nothing would help. That's when in October a friend of my mom's introduced me to tirz, & it's been life altering ever since. I'm down 55 pounds, my A1C is the best it's been since before becoming diabetic, I have natural energy, I get some of the best sleep I've ever gotten, I go to the gym without complaint, & I'm seeing all these real results. Now I'm venturing into the peptide world & ordering some other options to stack & I couldn't be happier. To anyone just starting, just know this could be the best descision you've ever made! And good luck!

Also Type 1 and on Reta and it's been such a good experience for me so far. What other peptides are you looking into stacking?

How has tesamorelin been for your sugars? Have you gotten your IGF tested at all or your eyes checked for diabetic retinopathY?

After a post I saw yesterday, I did a bit of a search and found zero evidence that there has been any scientific research on reta and type 1 diabetes, there has been some on tirzepatide, which sounds positive in general, but nowhere near standard therapy yet. And there are reasons why reta might be a problem in type 1. Just injecting a note of caution.

Wow what a great story and so helpful for those with type 1. Congrats on such great success.

I agree with u/lessthanhalf about avoiding the reta right yet. You seem to be doing great on tirz so no need to even go there since reta affects glucagon.

But wow, your story made my day!
