Has anyone noticed their tastes change with Tesa or Reta? I started both earlier this week (Sat for Reta and Sun for Tesa). For a lazy protein meal I like some grilled chicken and a cucumber salad. It’s one of my fav go to meals to keep me away from take out. Yesterday I noticed it just tastes weird to me. Today I couldn’t even get through it. It’s weird because the different ingredients on their own tasted fine so it isn’t a case of something being off. But combined into one bite, just disgusting. I had to give the food to someone else and just do a scrambled egg. As I’m typing this I’m thinking it’s the Reta but has anyone else experienced this?

I haven't had that experience. I've not had my usual affinity for many foods and my desire to eat my normal triggers foods has been nada.

Sounds like you might have a caught covid-trutide🤣

That was a terrible joke

I'll see myself out

On Reta and the only thing that tastes funny is beer. It has kind of a metallic taste.

I cant even drink more than a couple of glasses. I get the urge to vomit stuff out on reta.

I take both. I find that I have a metallic taste in the back of my mouth post pin of Tesa at night. The rest of the time, I don't notice much difference.

Reta and Tirz; alcohol tastes terrible, Fresh ahi tuna, a former favorite, makes me gag now.

Ironically, it's the higher protein foods which I need, that are so much less appealing.

protein powder smoothies too. Urgg..

This is so true and so annoying. I find I didn't have the aversion to the protein based foods on just tirz, but while I'm side loading reta with it for sure I have no desire for protein foods. I just had to force myself to drink a shake about half an hour ago as I realized all I want is carbs, carbs, carbs.

On Tesa and Reta rode the past month. Went to a Farmer’s Market this past weekend and a vendor had samples of their cookies. I got a sample of their “most popular” chocolate cookie and it tasted like dry chocolate chalk.

I’m still sometimes in the mood for the same foods I have always eaten but there are definitely changes to how much I enjoy them when I have them that I would associate with them not quite tasting as good. Still good, but not quite the same as before. Makes me wonder how much is actually the taste vs how much is that my brain is no longer so busy pinging itself with “this is yummy” vibes, which make me think the taste is better than maybe it is.

No protein aversion here. No super high interest in carbs, which is actually not my baseline. I’ve always been the kind of person who would eat a whole loaf of Italian bread if left to my own devices.
