I've lost 200+ lbs and there's no help for me other than surgery. First round of surgery in Mexico scheduled April cuz I'm not rich. šŸ™‚
Interested in details and your experiences.

Damb, another thread mentioning fasting? I'm sensing a trend. Maybe I can finally try it with tirz to keep me from wanting to break something. šŸ™„

I'll pass on a suggestion that I haven't tried myself and about which I'm skeptical. There is a nephrologist, Dr. Jason Fund, who advocates for fasting, often multi-day fasts, to help lose weight. He said that people who do those fasts lose any loose skin. I suspect if that if that worked everybody who gets the skin removal surgery would do that instead. Fortunately, the weight I lost didn't result in me having loose skin but that's not, I believe, related to anything I did to get rid of skin.
Just from personal experience I used to follow his method at the early phase of my weight loss. While, yes, it did help I also destroyed my metabolism. I would not say his method is ā€œwrongā€ but I know I went overboard with it which is why I ultimately ended up on GLP’s.

I would love to learn more info on KLOW, I have not dabbled into the other peptides yet but anything that might help, I am willing to research and investigate šŸ™‚

Sure, I use 2 mg ghk-cu daily for 8 weeks, then 2 weeks off. Sub-cutaneous.

I have definitely noticed facial benefits with ghk as well. I’m trying to keep consistent for loose skin but I forget the daily injections. So wish there was a pill šŸ˜‚

Setting phone alarms prevents me from forgetting. 🫔

YMMV

This is what had kept me from pursuing KLOW, I recognize daily injections is not something I'm ever going to manage, getting myself to inject once a week is already enough of a struggle for me and I end up missing that target by a day or two occasionally.

I started experiencing loose skin without even losing weight though, just from getting older I guess, so I'm very anxious to try something... how do the rich and famous maintain such youthful looking firm skin? I'm always amazed at these women in their late 50s and older where I can't even tell from the neck down how old they are -they could be under 30! I get all the facial treatments they can do but what is going on with their bellies, arms, thighs, etc, that those areas are still so smooth and crinkly free? I scrub, moisturize, and stay protected from the sun but my body skin is quite loudly and proudly screaming old lady, ugh.

GLOW and KLOW are used by the majority of the Beverly Hills wellness clinics. You see a lot of those celebrities and influencers now extolling the benefits of peptides because of that. Maybe as you continue your research you'll consider the daily injections as an option. If someone has lost a very large amount of weight, like 80-100 lbs, those peptide blends won't help loose skin much and skin removal surgery is really the only option.

Would love suggestions on what others have used to help tighten lose skin from your weight loss. I know exercise can help, but looking specifically for the belly, upper arms and neck. I'm not a young chicken, so my skin does not bounce back as it did in my youth. I'd prefer to avoid surgery if possible. Thanks in advance!
I use GHK-Cu subcutaneous injections and I can tell a difference in fine lines and wrinkles on face and neck. The injections will also help with overall skin elasticity systemically. I’ve done the CO2 laser about 4 years ago on face and hands with phenomenal results. I’m actually having it done again this week on face, neck chest and hands. Botox every 6 months-about 40 units.

My skin regimen consists of Tretinoin and estriol cream at night. Day regimen is vitamin c powder mixed with resveratrol/ferulic acid combo, a few serums that I rotate and moisturizer and sunscreen. I make my own face mist which consists of rose water, glycerin, niacinamide powder and Trehalose. I use it morning and evening.

I look at pictures of myself a decade ago and my skin looks so much better now. You can really wipe away some years with some upkeep and a good skin regimen. I’m fair skinned and my skin is also pretty dry. I use a cleansing balm and cream to foam cleanser which doesn’t strip away my skin barrier. Usually once or twice a month I do an acid peel to remove dead skin and brighten.

It seems like a lot, but it’s really just a few minutes in the morning and at night with a few treatments per month in between.

Another vote for fasting but seems to me like a great way to lose muscle too:

"The body can use sagging skin as a protein and fuel source during prolonged fasting."

My thing to fight my loose skin after my 265lbs overall weight loss ist to let the skin removed in eastern europe.

The benefit is not only not looking like a flappy something but also the removing of the fat cells in the process which leads to better success maintaining the weight loss.

Try making a serum of matrixyl (1 vial) with ghk-cu (1 vial ) 3mL of BAC in each . Thin mix with an OTC hyaluronic acid serum that is as clean as you can find. Apply to lose skin 2x a day . You could also substitute GLOW or KLOW for the GHK – CU..

Remember too that losing weight too fast will increase muscle loss and sagging skin. Recommended loss is 1% of body weight per week. In lbs for example, if you weigh 240lbs, that would be 2.4 lbs per week. It takes longer, but the time gives your body a chance to keep up.
