Scammers

Between all the different chats and platforms, I stupidly sent btc to a fucking scammer. my PSA is triple check all the usernames and contacts before sending anything.

Been there. Early on. I have always been great and checking things out but somehow this dude got my guard down and through the convo, I realized I forgot how I had originally contacted him. I was thinking it was through a mutual friend but it was not. After I sent the BTC, it got real weird, real fast and I realized I was duped. Super convincing Telegram. I think he had multiple bots having convos in there. Regardless, I am very diligent now. Haven't had an issue since.

Damn that sucks. I suffer from analysis-paralysis so I probably check-check-quadruple-checked when I did my first buy.

I make sure my emails go to the exact same person I used the last time....almost sent btc to my India guy instead of my China gal who's really a 60 year old phillipino gentleman with cigar and eye patch.

Hate this for us and for everyone else!! I have no excuse. Like HoopFan stated, I usually have analysis-paralysis but I was anxious and impatient. In my defense I had surgery and was about to go to sleep. I found the rep that I thought I had been talking to, bam. The next morning I was making sure everything was good and it hit me that's not the original rep, and who TF is this! LOL I have to laugh to not cry.
