It's true. I read an article last year that said the actual cost to produce a pharmacy ready box of Ozempic was about five dollars. It’s crazy.

That figure does not account for the investment to develop the compound.

Please understand, I am not defending BP. There is, however, a significant investment these companies make to develop these drugs. Costs worldwide are not shared equitably but tagged to what the particular market will allow. Again, not defending the disgraceful pricing we pay in America for BP-produced product. We would not be able to access grey without these investments. Creators should be able to recoup their investments and earn profit. Raking users over the coals on cost should not be allowed. Medication should be accessible by those of us with the least amount of resources. Flat out.
